"I guess you're right..." Purple mumbled, still not seeming one hundred percent convinced, but he looked a little more at ease, which Blue was grateful for.
"And if it helps..." Blue said, wondering if it was the right thing to say at this moment, but decided to give it a shot anyway. "I was talking with Red earlier, and he told me that we had other friends once. Maybe they'll come back." Blue said, giving a smile.
Purple smiled back. "I'd love that...if our friends would come back home."
Considering it a success, Blue stood up, still smiling down at Purple. "Well, I've gotta go talk to Green about something, but if you ever wanna talk, you can come to me, okay?"
Purple nodded before leaving the entrance of the vent, and Blue could hear the banging in the shafts grow further away as Purple crawled away, probably to go get some peace and quiet.
Blue sighed and turned back around to go back to his castle. Even though the crown he wore was practically meaningless, he still felt the responsibility to help out his friends when they needed help. Blue knew that their happiness wasn't technically his responsibility, but as a good friend and fellow monster, he knew he should at least try.
As he entered the room with his castle, he remembered the building that had looked like a bigger version of his castle in OddWorld. He looked it over for a second, wondering if it would actually be possible for him to get his own throne.
During the hunt earlier, Blue hadn't been sure whether to be offended or not that there was a throne in the other place. No one was even using it! Why did no one ever tell him that he had a throne?
Blue decided that he would have to go back there someday and see if he could take the throne back to the Playplace himself.
Blue walked up the ramp, wondering if Green would be there. He peeked inside, and saw only the same words scrawled onto the wall. That's when Blue remembered the little slab of wood he had seen covering a place on the wall.
He walked over, ducking to get into the small room, and tried to grab onto it with his big nubby hands. Big surprise, he couldn't. He sometimes forgot that he didn't have fingers.
With an annoyed huff, he backed out and decided that he would just go find Green.
As Blue set off towards the theater room to find his friend, he found himself worrying that Green may have gotten himself stuck somewhere, or lost, or hurt, or-
He cut himself off, he knew that he couldn't be too protective of Green. Green wanted to be able to do things by himself, and Blue had to respect that. As he entered the theater room, he saw Green sitting at the edge of the stage.
He knocked on the frame of the entrance, letting Green know he was coming in. Blue saw Green look up and walked over to where he was, sitting down beside him.
"I'm back. I brought the Lookies over to Yellow and Cyan. They'll take care of them until we figure something out." Blue told the fuzzy monster.
Green nodded, and Blue noticed that his thoughts also seemed to be elsewhere. He tried his best to hold back an exasperated sigh. They all had a lot of problems didn't they?
After mentally preparing himself, he turned to Green, trying to make his voice softer as he had barely managed to do while talking with Purple mere minutes ago. "Is everything okay, Green? You seem off."
Green shook his head, his googly eyes jiggling around. "I'm sorry I couldn't help you out with the Lookies Blue. I wish I could be more of a help." He said, squeaking quietly every now and then.
Blue noticed that Green usually accidentally squeaked when he was upset, and placed his big blue hand on Green's smaller, fingered hand.
"You are helpful Green. Please don't let anything make you think any differently about yourself." He said, wondering if it would be enough for Green to believe him.
