(5) Only in a Lifetime

‘I’ll be careful Juliet; I do know how to take care of myself surprisingly enough. Plus I’m not planning on drinking or anything so I think I’ll be able to control myself,’ I answered trying to stop Juliet from worrying.

‘I’m sorry, but if the paparazzi get’s a dose of this they’ll never stop,’ Juliet complained as we sat down on the table next to the other boys. I just frowned as I turned to face Kyron and Bryce who were playing some connected game on their phones.

‘I hate this lesson so much,’ Bryce groaned as he sat beside me. We had a lesson of French, I didn’t actually mind this lesson.

‘Why do you hate it?’ I asked Bryce as I wrote the date in French.

‘Because Kyron isn’t in here. This is the first lesson I’ve ever had without Kyron,’ Bryce admitted as he peered over my shoulder. ‘What day is it?’

‘Friday,’ I answered.

‘In French I mean,’ Bryce said stubbornly.

‘Vendredi,’ I responded smartly. Bryce looked at me then smirked. ‘Are you and Kyron like joined at the hip?’

‘No, we grew up in the same care home. I don’t know, we just became best friends,’ Bryce explained, well that was something I surely didn’t know. ‘Plus we were both in similar situations so we could speak to each other. He is like a brother, he’s a better brother than my real one,’ Bryce answered. I nodded understandingly.

‘I wish I would of had someone like that, back when I was in America,’ I laughed trying to hide my actual emotions.

‘Who did you actually live with in America? I mean you never speak about America or your family,’ Bryce pointed out.

‘I prefer not to speak about my family in America. My mom was a jerk; she hated me and my sister. I was a crazy drunk and I always got in trouble. Sure I had nice friends, Ashley was my best friend,’ I said with a smile. ‘I couldn’t be myself in America though. I had to play the role of a strong, unafraid man. I had to care for my sister and my mom. Now for once in my life I actually feel free.’

Bryce was looking at me, completely bewildered by my story. Then Mr Jackson walked in. ‘And I thought I had it bad,’ Bryce whispered to me as he watched Mr Jackson.

‘Do you want to come to my house first and help me chose some clothes, then I’ll go with you to yours?’ I asked Isabella as I met her at the end of the day.

‘Who ever thought it, the Prince’s boyfriend asking me to his house,’ Isabella restated. ‘I’ll have to think about that...’ Isabella muttered. ‘Of course I want to come!’ Isabella shrieked.

‘I’m guessing that’s a yes?’ I laughed as I put my arm over Isabella shoulders as I led her to my car.

‘So when are you going to take me to your boyfriends house? I’ve heard he is pretty rich,’ Isabella joked as we walked over to my car which Kayda was waiting outside of.

‘Kayda meet Isabella. Isabella this is my sister, Kayda,’ I introduced quickly as I unlocked the car then clambered inside.

Isabella was walking around my room looking at random things. ‘Aww,’ she said randomly. ‘This is cute!’ She shrieked. I walked over to her and looked at the photo she was holding. It was of me, Charles, Chandler, Alfie and Eliza at Chandler’s wedding. I was giving Charles a piggy-back whilst Chandler was posing and Alfie was holding Eliza like a baby.

‘I like that photo too,’ I admitted as I took a few seconds to properly look at it. I laughed a little just thinking back to the time at the wedding, how much fun it was.
