We all were pretty drunk and not in so right state of mind, To be honest everyone in the club room was either dancing or else passing out except for one person, Ryan, who was just seated at his place even after drinking,
I was feeling tipsy and dizzy, so I decided to give myself a break from the commotion and walked out towards the restroom, as I was about to enter I felt a hand on my shoulder making me turn in that direction only to find

He stood in front of me, smiling, with his arm around a girl who appeared to be his girlfriend.
"Hey" I muttered trying to sound normal
"Long time Aria- How have you been?" he chuckled in excitement
'not so great'
"Amazing!" I said,
wondering who I was trying to convince him or myself,
"what about you," I said eyeing the girl's direction
"Oh great! By the way, she is Emily, my girlfriend" He said, making me more dizzy, But yet I kept my smile "Oh hi Emily, Aria" I extended my hand towards her direction,
She happily took my hand, smiling and laughing, which irritated me even more, although I knew I shouldn't feel that way.
The fact that I had been thinking about him for the past 5-6 months and he never even considered me and seemed content was hurtful. It felt as if he was trying to show off that he was doing well without me
Although being single was a choice I made and I was happy, part of me secretly wished to be in a relationship. Being single was amazing, but during the times when we were dating and having fun together, I missed it.
I was drunk and not in my right state, I don't know why I suddenly felt a lot of overwhelming emotions, It was the alcohol in my system, maybe, but I said something I knew I'd regret but still-
"Oh well nice to meet you, Emily, I've always wanted to meet you", smiling sarcastically I said making both of them a bit awkward
"o-h well, nice to meet you too," she said awkwardly
"um- by the way Aria, you are here alone?" he asked trying to ease the awkward atmosphere
"No I was here with my friends, and – my u-uh- Boyfriend" I spat, feeling sudden regret of something so stupid and childish
"Oh, you have a boyfriend, um- great! Would like to meet him" He said unconvincingly
"yeah of course!" Dude what am I even saying, help
"Well where is he?" he asked tilting a bit of his face
"U-um, in the r-restroom, yea the restroom" God why am I stuttering, I've lost it officially
"You are lying, aren't you Aria? You have no boyfriend, I've known you for years Aria, you think I won't understand when you lie" he scoffed,
Well technically he wasn't wrong but I wasn't going to admit that he is correct either
"Don't act a know-it-all Nick, you barely know me, even after all of our time together" I confidently muttered
"Oh well where is your so-called boyfriend then" he smirked annoyingly, knowing it was hurting my ego
As I was about to say something, well Ryan happened to be just coming out of the restroom, which I thought was the greatest yet stupidest idea to 'use him again'
I went towards him and clasped my arms with his, " Here he is, my boyfriend"
As I said those words I could feel his stare from above, I slowly turned my head towards him with pleading eyes, trying to send him signals hoping he'd understand and fortunately, he did
"Oh hey babe, what's wrong" he said trying to sound sweet looking towards the other two people in the scene
"Nothing just wanted to introduce you to my old friend, Nick, and his girlfriend Emily" I could feel Nick taken aback as I introduced him as my friend
He just nodded and greeted Ryan bitterly before leaving for wherever he was going
"So...care to explain?" He asked distancing himself
I sighed deeply before responding, "He is my ex"
He just nodded understanding the situation,
"Thanks for the help again, and sorry to put you in such an awkward position"
"Make sure it does not happen again," he said in his usual cold tone before walking away
"Whatever" I scoffed looking at his walking figure from back
