"You like me?" Tilting my head, confusion was written all over my face
"NO!" he scoffed "I'd never like you!" he exclaimed
"Then why do you wanna date me?" I asked him unsure about his intentions
"I mean a contract relationship...." He paused looking for my reaction
"WHAT? WHY?" bewildered by his confession
"Ok so here is the thing, as just now you saw the crowd suffocating me, you helped and did not even question it but the confusion on your face could be easily judged so I assume you don't what the rumors were about?"
I shook my head as no
"Well they are dating rumors of me and the actress Lyla-"
"You mean THE famous actress Lyla?!" interrupting him, He sighed before continuing
"Yes her, that's why people were trying to engulf me and question me about her, well about the crowd it does not matter much as they'll probably forget about the scandal once the article is taken down but, the problem is to take down the article, I'll have to have the cooperation of Lyla which she is at all not ready to give, that's why I need your help," he said without any pause in the sentence
"How can I help you? And why is Lyla not cooperating" I took a seat on an old chair brushing off the dust on it
"Well to answer your second question first, Lyla no offense is an amazing actress but not that amazing as a person, she is in the same company as mine and has been trying to court me since we were trainees, always leading me to refuse her. Until the last time when we had a company dinner with all our artists, she was drunk and was blabbering stuff while coming towards me in the parking slot, she was wearing heels, and also not able to walk properly leading her to fall on me" he sighed not wanting to continue

"Exactly! I thought she did it by mistake, so I talked to her about it and came to know she did it intentionally thinking that I'd finally accept her" he groaned in frustration
"And now she is refusing to deny the rumors, well I could go alone to the CEO and deny our relationship but I don't have any evidence to prove that, the only thing that will prove will be, if I have some I am already dating, only then will the company deny the rumors, that's why I need you to become my contract girlfriend, you be my girlfriend until the fest ends and I help you with the organization, eventually we'll part our ways ... what do you think?" he asked while he finally sat down in front of me
I thought about the offer being a win-win situation for both of us

"Well have you ever seen a couple who's not physical, I mean people will right away catch us if we just stand beside each other, like for example holding hands, hugging is common-"
"Ew! No, why would I touch you" I felt disgusted even thinking about it
"Not like I want to touch you as well, who goes around bumping into people and ruining their clothes," he said referring to our past encounter, which made me scoff
"It was you!! Who bumped not me!?!, whatever, cool let's just make hugging and holding hands acceptable, for making it look more real" I said trying to cool and calm myself down not wanting to ruin this opportunity for myself
" Ok, let's meet tomorrow again with a piece of rules or stuff we want each other to know about ourselves and sign off the contract?' he stood up waiting for me to answer
"OK, tomorrow in the college café at 2:00 PM"
