After 2 days its finally the day we have to submit the draft, and hence here we are outside the staff room waiting for the professor, we worked our asses off to get this done also sacrificing my precious sleep and also had to lie to my manager taking a sick leave to complete this damn draft it better get approved

"come in" the professor shouted from inside,

As I was about to step in I noticed the lack of movement on my side which made me turn towards her only to find her frozen at her spot looking visibly nervous, with her eyes down

To be honest past two days I learned a lot about her, she seemed interesting as a person, and I knew how much this draft meant to her, I sincerely wanted this to work out for her, not like she is my friend now or something but at least I did not hate her, if you know what I mean

"hey? Aria?" I said raising my voice a bit which made her jolt her head toward me,

"let's go?" she nodded

"Well Aria and Ryan, you guys did a great job," Professor said closing the draft with a satisfactory smile on his face,

"I expected nothing less, guys," he said making Aria relaxed, well Ryan was happy also not like it meant anything to him but two days of work paid off he thought to himself

"So Aria and Ryan I know you guys have been working busily these days with this project and many assignments academically, so our team has decided to not push you guys anymore and not involve you in the implementation of this plan we'll divide the work but don't worry the main idea credits will be going to you both which means you guys have to be present on the day of the fest, especially you Aria, I talked to the chief editors they said they want to talk to you about it, so make sure to be presentable as well, no need to be nervous at all, Aria show them your confident side," Professor said making both Aria And Ryan happy

Both of them thanked the professor exiting the room while standing in front of each other in the corridor awkwardly until Aria decided to break the ice

"Hey I know it was part of the deal and stuff but thanks a lot, it means a lot to me"

"Well no problem and thanks to you too..." he said pursuing his lips with his hands in his jeans pocket as he continued

"....So I guess if we are not working anymore and both of our needs are ended, the contract..."

"yeah, we must...end things here then I guess," Aria said completing his sentence

As much as both wanted to deny past two days brought them closer not as close as to be called friends but acquaintances maybe

" Hey Sana!!!!" Aria shouted as soon as she entered her dorm

"Calm down Ar...what happened?"Sana said getting up from her seat

"MY DRAFT GOT ACCEPTED!!" she shrieked dancing and jumping around her dorm in excitement

"Wait for REAL?" Sana said widening her eyes, " I am so freaking happy girl!!!!!!" Sana exclaimed

"But still one question lingers in my mind," Sana asked with confusion written all over her face

"What is it?" Aria says calming down sitting on her bed from overwhelming excitement

"Well the other day you said Ryan won't even listen to the professor, how come you made him help you?"

Aria sighed, as the contract was over she decided to come clean and told her everything from the start

" I can't believe you hid such an important thing from me Ar.."Sana said in a voice of disappointment

"I am sorry but it was a deal, what can I do to make it up to you..?" Aria said feeling visibly guilty

"Well...um.. do my assignments for me," Sana said in a thinking stern voice

"What?" Aria said widening her eyes

Sana busted out laughing seeing her friend's face, "Just kidding Ar, I understand...let's just go have an ice cream party!"

"You scared me!" Aria said wiping the non-existent sweat off her forehead "And LETSSSGOO!"
