~ School's first day
"Ay-yo Ariaa !! wake up!! it's 7:45 already, class starts at 8:30...Bruh!! Wake up already girl, you don't want to be late for your first day, do you?" Sana said shouting while trying to get her books arranged
"A..a..h (yawning)... - wait what did you say!! it's 7:45!!!! You could've woken me up earlier Sana, now great I'll be late on the first day. ah I better hurry" I said while getting off my bed and rushing through my morning routine
"bruh! Blaming me as if it is my fault, better hurry up or I'll leave you and go" Sana shouted from other side of the dorm stepping out
"Arghhh!!" I groaned annoyingly not wanting to be late but was clearly late
"Stop shouting and hurry up girl!" Sana nagged while tapping her feet and waiting for me
Aria rushed out, appearing guilty and knowing she was late. Despite being her fault, she yelled at Sana earlier that morning. When she saw Sana waiting for her outside, Aria quickly approached her and clasped her arm with a cute, apologetic pout on her face.
"That won't work Ar...bruh let's get going!" she said trying to walk away but my stubborn ass not letting her go before asking for forgiveness
"Even if I say that Lunch is on me...how about then?" I said with a hesitant face though clearly knowing what she's gonna reply
"Hmmm....will think about it now, let's get going we are very late it's 8:25 it will take time to walk till there"
"We can't walk there"
"huh?" she asked me with a confused face
"we'll have to Run ASAP"
With that, both look at their watches and start running toward their Literature department not wanting to be late on their first day, but they were already.
"Ma-y-w-we c-come in sir," said both of us while trying to catch our breath after long run from dorm to classroom
"Wow.. brilliant! Being so early on the first day what a great start Ms. Kim and Ms. Lee," said the professor with a sarcastic smile on his face
"Sorry Sir we assure you it won't happen again," both of us said looking down apologetically while walking to two empty seats in the middle row
"I hope you'll keep your word, both of you..." As the professor said, a boy wearing a blue plaid Shirt with a white T shirt over on and loose fitted yet tight jeans entered the class running
"Sorry professor...so sorry may I come in?" he asked while panting, probably from running trying to reach on time at which he clearly failed
"Seems like we have many latecomers this year in our class *sigh* what's your excuse, Mr. Ryan?"
As soon as Ryan's name was mentioned, everyone started gossiping. Aria looked in the late student's direction until she realized who it was.
"Hey, Ar isn't he the guy who bumped into you last time..?" Sana asked staring at that guy
"I'm not sure about him, Sana. Today doesn't seem to be going well for me. Firstly, I was late on my very first day, which ruined my first impression. And now, I find out that the popular Mr. Overconfident is my classmate. It's frustrating, to say the least." I said while lightly groaning
"Stop overreacting! I don't think he'll even remember you just stay away that's it" she said focusing back on what lesson was going on
"I hope so, fingers crossed," I whispered not wanting any more trouble
as the class continued without any issues. luckily.
Suddenly, the professor interrupted, announcing that it was the end of his class.
"Ms. Aria and Mr. Ryan, please follow me to my office immediately. I have something important to discuss with you both," the professor stated while walking off the classroom.
"Yes sir," I said while looking back attempting to see Ryan's face but he just walked away ignoring me making his way toward the professor
"Wow, that was rude," I muttered as I walked away saying "I'll see you at the café, Sana."
"Okay, bye," Sana said while waiving her hand
Silently, they both reached towards the cabin.
"OK, so Aria and Ryan well I have a task for both of you..",Mr kim said dropping and closing his files while attending us
Both of them stayed silent waiting for the professor to finish his words
"So Aria as we were going through essays and application forms submitted by applicants, your application essay impressed all of us and hence we have decided to give you the responsibility of organizing the Fresher's festival this time..." Mr. Kim said looking at two young adults standing in front of him across the teacher's desk
"I really appreciate you for giving me such an opportunity sir but I don't think I'll be able to manage this alone as I already have a lot on my plate right now," I said with an apologetic smile not wanting more work in the busy year
"Oh no, I never said you have to do it alone Aria...That's the reason I called Mr. Ryan to help you organize and manage it" Mr. Kim said looking at Ryan
Ryan who had one hand in the jeans pocket, raised his eyebrows and said "Well thank you sir but I won't be able to help, My schedule won't spare a minute....I hope you understand sir" With that being said he exists the cabin without any further discussion
Mr. Kim sighed as he turned his head towards Aria and said "See, I understand your and his problem but one thing here you must know is that your high school teacher Mr. Na suggested you for this personally he said you were working on a specific book and was wanting to meet any known publisher...And Aria this time the chief guest is the chief editor of Moonlight Readers Publishing House-"
As Aria heard it her non-interested face suddenly lit up and she became more interested and focused
"-So if you initiate the Festival you'll have the chance to meet up with the chief editor and show your work... it as if a one-time opportunity which to my suggestion you must not let go of," He said looking at Aria with a stern face hoping she'll not lose such oppurtunity
"think about it Aria and let me know by next week remember if you want to do it I'll also need Mr. Ryan's consent of participation" with that being said Mr Kim excused himself from the staff room and goes for his next lecture leaving me alone in a state of contemplation
"ughhh ! what should i do?!"
