Somewhere else, the sky is a clear blue, and suddenly, Eijin and Maria Grace appear out of nowhere, their eyes wide open in shock. This is the first time Eijin has experienced teleporting and arriving not in his intended destination. He is confused as to why he appeared falling from the sky instead of outside the large building he had imagined. Meanwhile, Maria Grace's instinct tells her to hold onto Eijin, so she embraces him tightly, afraid, with her heart pounding as they both fall.

"Where are we?" they both ask, cuddling each other tightly while falling.

Maria Grace doesn't care anymore about being half-naked; all she cares about is surviving.

Eijin teleported once more, this time aiming for the closest skyscraper he could see. However, instead of reappearing in the building he had envisioned, they found themselves falling once again, but this time above a vast ocean with no land in sight.

"What are you doing?" Maria Grace asked, her confusion evident as she held onto him tightly. "Where have you taken us?" She felt embarrassed by their position. When they reappeared, she found herself underneath Eijin, so her instinct led her to not only embrace him tightly but also wrap both her legs around his waist and legs.

"My apologies, miss," Eijin sincerely declared. "It seems that my teleportation ability is not working properly. This is the first time I've experienced such a malfunction, and it may be because someone was with me during the teleportation." He explained the situation.

"Give it another try, maybe it will work this time," Maria Grace suggested. She somewhat felt she was to blame. If she hadn't grabbed him while he teleported, they wouldn't have ended up in this situation.

Eijin attempted another teleportation, but this time they found themselves on top of an ocean of clouds.

Maria Grace shivered in the cold atmosphere, and sensing her discomfort, Eijin immediately enveloped her with his symbiotes. With the force of the fall, Maria Grace couldn't control her head and hair, so she rested her cheek on Eijin's face, their lips almost touching.

"Please, try again," Maria Grace pleaded out of desperation.

"I'm sorry, but I can't," Eijin declined. "I'm afraid that we might end up in space or somewhere even worse."

"What should we do?" Maria Grace panicked as they passed through the sea of clouds, falling rapidly.

A pair of majestic wings sprouted from Eijin's back, pushing against the wind and causing them to shake upon impact.

Maria Grace couldn't help but admire him. Is there anything this guy can't do? she mumbled to herself.

"It would be safer if we fly back to where I can send you, Miss?," Eijin said in a gentlemanly manner. "You can relax now."

"Please take me to Quantum Plaza. You can drop me off at the penthouse. That's where I live. But please, don't drop me literally," she said nervously, feeling a level of nervousness she hadn't experienced since her high school days.

"Copy that, miss," Eijin replied.

"I am Maria Grace Javinal, the director of the government covert group Shadowstrike," she declared without thinking, even though she had already exposed her true identity a while ago. Her intention was to prompt him to reveal his name and true identity as well. It seemed that she trusted Eijin. "Who are you? I mean, what is your name?" she asked casually, her strict and cold demeanor suddenly changing.

Eijin didn't answer; he just smiled. She knew this because she could feel it with their cheeks still touching. She let their position be, as she didn't sense any malice or opportunistic behavior from Eijin.

Honestly, she felt really comfortable. The captivating scent of the man on top of her made her feel like she was floating on a cloud. She didn't mind their bodies touching each other.

"With your abilities, you would be a great addition to my team. Would you like to join us instead of doing your vigilante work?" Maria Grace asked, trying to persuade Eijin further. "You will be paid handsomely."

"I don't work well as a team player," he answered, and besides that he couldn't be persuaded by money since he was already wealthy.

Sensing that Eijin couldn't be persuaded, Maria Grace simply stayed quiet.

With the symbiote's covering protecting Maria Grace, Eijin flew at supersonic speed. It took them two hours to reach the city.

"Miss, we are in the city now. Where is the Quantum Plaza?" Eijin asked.

Maria Grace woke up, feeling tired and having fallen asleep. Subconsciously, she moved her face and forgot that their faces were still touching. They were taken aback when they felt their lips touch.

"I'm sorry!" they both mumbled while their lips were still touching. Then, they quickly faced away from each other to part their lips.

"I'm really sorry," Eijin broke the silence, his voice sincere.

"No, it's okay," Maria Grace's cheeks turned red as she realized what she had said. "I mean, there's no need to apologize. It was entirely my fault. I was careless."

Suddenly...

"Eijin! Where are you?!" Mara asked with an upset voice. Finally, their telepathic connection connected. "I've been so worried."

At the same time, Maria Grace could hear Rachel's voice loudly through the shared symbiote tissue enveloping both of them. "Where are you, Eijin? What happened to you?" Rachel's voice carried concern through the radio wave frequency.

Maria Grace remained quiet as Eijin explained himself to his ally.

"My teleportation ability seems to have malfunctioned, and I was teleported to places I haven't been to or intended to go," his voice laced with honesty. Mara, being a telepath, sensed that Eijin was telling the truth.

"I thought you were kidnapped by that blonde witch," Mara interjected loudly through the intercom that Rachel was holding.

Maria Grace's eyebrows twitched upon hearing Mara calling her a witch, but she remained calm and quiet. She was just being cautious and didn't want to cause any trouble for Eijin. She wasn't sure if one of the girls Eijin was talking to was his girlfriend.

"I'm fine, I'm on my way home now," Eijin replied, not being entirely honest. He couldn't let Rachel, especially Mara, know that he was with the director of Shadowstrike. Even though he and Mara weren't officially a couple, he still felt a pang in his heart, as if he were cheating on her.

"Buy some food! I want McBee chicken and spaghetti. Rachel and her duplicates will have the same order as usual, and get a hamburger for Elise. Also, add lots of fries and ice cream," Mara interjected once again.

Maria Grace couldn't help but smirk at what she heard. "They seem like a normal family," she thought to herself. Being the director of Shadowstrike, she was smart enough to piece things together from Mara's talkativeness. She now knew the name of this guy, "Eijin." And if her suspicions were correct, Elise was one of the captives they had saved during the Operation Governor mission.
