Jurassic park: The New Hire

Chapter 5: The Visitors Centre

Lyla walked with the group listening to Hammond ramble on about the park and Alan and Ellie wondering if they were out of a job but they continued walking to the showroom where Lyla had been

She kind of tuned out all the comments that Alan, Ellie and Malcom were making and she had to agree with Gennaro after he shushed them as she thought they were being a bit rude

She watched the video with Mr DNA and then John spoke up
"All this has dramatic music that hasn't really been written yet so let's move on then

"For your own safety"

Mr DNA continued and then Gennaro started speaking which Lyla was now really interested to hear

"This is overwhelming John, are those characters animatronics?"

"Nope everything is absolutely real, no animatronics here"
John replies

Grant and Ellie were no suspicious of everything and wanted to see the lab which Lyla thought was fair enough as she didn't believe it at first when she saw the brachiosaurus but she knew it was absolutely real after seeing the lab

Gennaro tried stopping by them saying they couldn't do that and John simply waved him off saying they were scientists and their curiosity was justified.

"Hey I'm going to go check on the Dino's and everything" Lyla said

"Perfectly fine I'll take care of the tour just come back for lunch ok?"
John asked

"You got it John" Lyla said

As she was driving and checking on the dinosaurs which she really didn't need to as Susie was in charge of that but John could tell Lyla was getting really annoyed by Gennaro and so without drawing attention to the lawyer he let her go.

But she found a jeep near the electric shelter and so she went in to see the man she first met when she landed on the Costa Rican city that said she wouldn't be paid enough, Dennis Nedry

"Oh hello there missy how's that job treating you? No need to answer probably poorly."

"Actually Dennis you'd be wrong. Muldoon was right John has been paying me well"
Said Lyla with some sass in her voice

Dennis just simply rolled his eyes.

"By the way what are you doing over here by the electric generator?" She asked

"Oh um just checking it"
Dennis replied

Lyla wasn't believing it and to her surprise she saw Callie in Dennis' jeep jumping up and down at something

Dennis tried blocking her from seeing what the compy saw but Lyla held out her tranq gun and said "I've tranqed bigger Dino's than you so move or you're going to have a longer sleep than a triceratops would"

Dennis gulped in nervousness and moved and Lyla saw the currently empty shaving cream can and opened it to see that it was a cover for something.

She pet Callie and fed her saying "good girl"

Then continued "care to explain Nedry"

"Ok fine I made a deal with a guy called Dodgson who works for a company named biosyn and I was going to steal embryos and.."

"Well I'm going to have to report you to John for this he'll have your head" Lyla said

"Dodgson warned me about you but look if you keep quiet I'll pay you half the amount, it'll help your grandparents wouldn't it?"

Lyla thought about her grandparents and how little they had but Callie popped out of her purse and shook her head which Lyla agreed with and then said "your plans are done Nedry" and then with the back of the tranq gun knocked him out.

Callie jumped out of Lyla's purse and started motioning at nedrys jeep and Lyla thought "hmm maybe I'll sabotage the winch mechanics" "ok Callie start chomping at it girl" so she did and then they drove off as it was nearing lunch.
