JUDE STOOD IN the shadows, his gaze fixed on Via as she sought solace in the comforting embrace of her siblings. His heart ached at the sight of her tears, the pain etched across her delicate features. He knew what her boyfriend, Jake, was hiding, and it tore him apart to see her suffer in silence.

As the night stretched on, Jude grappled with his conflicting emotions, torn between his desire to protect Via and his own deep-seated feelings for her. He knew that he had to tell her the truth, to confront her with the harsh reality of Jake's betrayal. But the thought of shattering her world, of witnessing the pain in her eyes, filled him with a sense of dread.

Lost in his thoughts, Jude barely noticed as Trent approached, his brow furrowed with concern. "Hey, mate, you alright?" Trent asked, his voice laced with worry.

Jude shook himself out of his reverie, forcing a tight smile. "Yeah, just... thinking," he replied, his tone strained. "About Via."

Trent nodded understandingly, his gaze flickering to where Via sat with her siblings. "I get it, mate. I don't know exactly what's going right now but do whatever feels right to you mate." he said, his voice soft with empathy.

Jude sighed, running a hand against his forehead. "I know what I have to do," he said, his jaw set in determination. "I just... I don't know how to do it without making things worse."

Trent placed a reassuring hand on Jude's shoulder, his gaze steady. "You'll find a way, mate. I know im gonna sound sloppy but just trust your instincts and follow your heart," he said, his words a comforting balm to Jude's troubled soul.

With Trent's words echoing in his mind, Jude steeled himself for the difficult conversation that lay ahead.

Before he even knows it his feet drag him to the balcony's direction.

As he approached Via, his heart pounded in his chest, his palms clammy with nerves. He knew that there was no turning back now—that he had to tell her the truth, no matter how painful it may be.

"Via," he began softly, his voice trembling with emotion. "There's something I need to tell you."

Via looked up, her eyes red-rimmed but filled with a flicker of hope. "Jude," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. "What is it, if you're gonna argue right now just leave-" her words were cut out by his.

Jude took a deep breath, steeling himself for her reaction. "It's about Jake," he said, his words tumbling out in a rush. "I... I've seen things, heard things. Things that suggest he's not being so faithful to you."

Via's eyes widened in shock, her breath catching in her throat. "What... what do you mean?" she whispered, her voice trembling with disbelief.

Jude hesitated, his heart breaking at the pain in her eyes. "I mean... I've seen him with other girls," he confessed, his voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't want to believe it at first, but... I couldn't ignore the truth."

Via's expression darkened, her eyes flashing with anger. "And you didn't think to tell me sooner?" she demanded, her voice laced with accusation.
