Chapter 5: Not The Best Aftermath Of A First Duel In A While
The duel was over. KickinChicken took off his Duel Disk from one of his arms and looked at CatNap and smirked.
“Not bad.” He said, “I did have a few missteps in the duel, but at least you can still show off your strategy.”
CatNap sighed as he took off his Duel Disk and put it back in his school bag.
“Hey, why are you silent all of a sudden?” KickinChicken asked,
“Why are you in my business?” CatNap said, “Just leave me alone now.”
“Ha ha, come on, we haven't spoken since a year and–”
“--Did you not understand what I told you, Kicken?”
“...Told me what?”
“You stopped caring about me that year ago… That same year when CraftyCorn sacrificed herself to protect all of us from what could have been a monster among critters!”
CatNap sighed.
“You don't give a shit about any of this…” He said, “You've gone egotistical.”
“Ha, come on you little emo pussycat, get a grip!” KickinChicken said, “I don't give a shit about any of this. I've grown over it and moved on, like any one of us would do.”
“...Well, here's something you'll give a shit about.”
“What?”
CatNap walked over and punched KickinChicken in the face.
“OWW! YOU JERK!” KickinChicken shouted, “WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!”
“TO WAKE YOU UP!” CatNap shouted,
“CatNap! Stop!” DogDay said as he tried to pull CatNap away from KickinChicken,
“Back off!” CatNap shouted as he pushed DogDay away,
CatNap then turned to KickinChicken as KickinChicken punched him in the face back.
“OWW!” CatNap shouted,
“EAT THAT, YOU FREAK!” KickinChicken shouted,
CatNap clenched his teeth as he tackled KickinChicken down to the ground.
“YOU TAKE THAT BACK YOU UGLY DUCK!” He shouted at him,
“I'LL SHOW YOU WHO'S UGLY!” KickinChicken shouted back,
The two started to wrestle with each other on the ground. DogDay eventually breaks them up by grabbing CatNap and pulling him away from KickinChicken.
“OK, OK, THAT'S ENOUGH, CATNAP!” DogDay shouted,
CatNap struggled to free himself from DogDay.
“YOU ASSHAT!” CatNap shouted at KickinChicken, “YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!”
“I always understand straight up!” KickinChicken shouted, “It's called growing up!”
“YOUR CHOICES NEVER GREW UP!”
“Neither will you! DogDay, tell your friend to screw off! I'm out of here!”
KickinChicken left. CatNap was breathing heavily and angrily.
“CatNap, please, calm down.” DogDay said,
CatNap looked at DogDay and sighed heavily.
“I'm sorry…” He said, “He doesn't get it…”
“Of course, but you just gotta give him time.” DogDay said, “Who knows when he'll get it.”
CatNap turned away.
“I hate my life…” He said, “I wish things would go back to the way they were…”
CatNap walked away. DogDay sighed.
“Damn…” He said as he caught up with CatNap,
