You were trapped in the dark grip of the night, trapped inside your own body.

You were grasped tightly by your sleep paralysis, unable to move your limbs or speak.

The space around you had appeared to shrink, with shadows developing unsettling forms that danced all around your room.

You struggled against the invisible bounds the tied you down to your bed. Were these beings more than just pieces of your frightened mind?

Suddenly an ominous figure emerged out the corner of your eye, it crept menacingly closer as the room grew darker.

Your breathing quickened along with the increasing stress as the air became thicker.

The eerie shape of the beast loomed, a terrifying shadow across your frozen form.

Your breathing became more rapid, matching the approaching terror, and panic set in.

Your eyes tightly shut, fear coursing through every nerve, you braced for the unknown, terrified of what the encroaching monster might unleash.

The room flickered with an unexpected light, seeping through your closed eyelids. Despite the illumination, a shiver of fear held you back from opening your eyes, uncertain of the perilous scenarios that might unfold.

A sudden warmth enveloped you as a gentle hand lifted the back of your head, placing it delicately in the mysterious person's lap.

"Fear not, my dear. Nothing in this whimsical tapestry can harm you," echoed a radio-like voice, unmistakably Alastor's. The familiarity of his tone brought an unexpected sense of ease, as if the enigmatic demon himself had orchestrated a peculiar but comforting symphony just for you.

Your eyes grew heavier, succumbing to the gentle embrace of sleep that finally began to envelop you.

(Time skip)

As you awoke, a sense of tranquility lingered. Stretching, you felt a renewed energy coursing through you. With a contented sigh, You rose from the bed, ready to embrace the day ahead.

You quickly did your normal morning routine before heading down to the lobby.

As the elevator opened, you spotted Alastor, casually seated on the couch, absorbed in the pages of a book.

Approaching him with hesitant steps, you nervously played with your hands. A fleeting glance down at Alastor preceded your gaze shifting elsewhere. "Um, Alastor?" you uttered softly.

"Hmm?" he hummed, his gaze turning your way as you approached him.

Taking a seat beside him, you remained silent for a moment, gathering your thoughts before finally speaking.

"Thanks for last night," you murmured, your eyes avoiding direct contact with Alastor as you expressed your gratitude.

"Oh, it was truly no trouble, my dear!" he exclaimed, giving your head a gentle pat. Your cheeks flushed an even deeper hue, adding to the already noticeable redness.

Retracting his hand from your head, he seamlessly returned to the pages of his book, engrossed once more in its contents.

With a glance around, you shifted uncomfortably before deciding to take a risk and ask Alastor a rather bold question.

"Hey Al?" You whispered gently.

Looking up at you once more, he patiently waited for you to proceed with what you were saying.

"I was wondering if, perhaps, you could stay with me in my room again tonight?" you asked, nervously rubbing the back of your neck and avoiding his gaze.

"Certainly, my dear. I'd be delighted," he grinned, giving your head a final pat before elegantly standing up.

"I've got some matters to attend to, but fear not, my dear. I'll return tonight," he reassured with a gentle smile before vanishing to Lucifer knows where.
