Mossy green solitude
Mixes with honey-colored friendship
To become joy the shade of young grass
To become lilac tinted comfort.

Hot-red despair
Mixes with jet black fear
To fade to soft blue sadness
To fade to white emptiness.

Sun colored jealousy
Mixes with concrete grey disappointment
To make sickly-pale beige
To mark the death of a cotton candy love.

Perhaps lilac has always been more beautiful
