TRIGGER WARNING!!!

The Fiesta arrived, and Freen was absent. It was a relief in a way; I didn't need to avoid her. I was angry, hurt, and disappointed. People were right; behind a beautiful and vibrant girl, there hid a secret. She must have been flirting with someone, and that guy either cheated on her or left her, explaining why she felt disgusted. How could she hide it behind her pretty and innocent face?

"Bec?" Irin called my name. "You're out of this world again."

"I'm sorry, what is it?" I asked. I looked around, seeing others enjoying the night. They were drinking and invited us to join, but Irin and I refused as our houses were far from the Town Hall.

Irin handed me an envelope containing money. "The organization head said this is the end of our tutoring work here. The families who hired us went abroad, and the head couldn't find another family for us to work with."

"Thank you," I muttered. "But it's sad. Emily had been so close to me. I even promised her that I would still teach her next summer."

"Yeah, mine too. We were so close." Irin sighed and looked at the sky. "But that's life. I just need to find another summer job. Do you want to find one too?"

"I'm up for it. But where?" I chuckled. "I mean, it's hard to find one in the middle of our summer vacation."

"That's what's bothering me too." She sighed and looked at me. "Anyway, do you know what happened to Freen?"

"Let's not talk about her, Irin. It's ruining my mood," I said.

"Sorry. But I feel pity for her. She lost too much weight. I bet she wasn't eating properly. Should we ask her guardian about it?" she asked.

"I said stop!" I yelled, and everyone looked at us. "Let's just not talk about her, please."

Irin nodded and sighed. "But can you come with me to the restroom? I don't want to go in there alone."

I chuckled at Irin, and I nodded. We went to the bathroom, and I stayed outside, looking out the door for her. I didn't know why she was so afraid. Was she afraid of ghosts?

"Becky?" I heard a man's voice outside, so I looked around and saw Freen's uncle. "What are you doing here? Are you with someone?"

"Ah. Yes," I answered. "She's inside."

"Oh. Taking a break?" he asked. "I mean, sorry for the word." He chuckled, and I nodded. It felt awkward.

"I don't know. Are you going to use the restroom too? The men's restroom is next door." I told him, but he shook his head. I could feel that he was drunk now.

"My niece has been getting on my nerves lately. I'm sorry if I can't find another family who needs our help. I'm so busy scolding my niece." He sighed. "That kid is pregnant. I told her to abort the child, but she didn't want to. How could she raise a child when she doesn't have a proper job?"

"What happened to her now?" I asked.

"She's at home. Such a stubborn child. If her father were alive, he would be very disappointed." Her uncle shook his head. He turned around, so I thought he would leave.

I looked at the door waiting for Irin to come out when suddenly Freen's uncle covered my mouth and held me tightly from behind. Then his other hand touched my breasts. He then pinned me on the wall, and since he was too strong, I couldn't push him. He started massaging my breasts, and I couldn't help but cry. He motioned for me to keep quiet.

"Don't tell anyone, or else," he whispered. "I know your place. And I know you're alone." He left just like that, leaving me crying.

When Irin went out, she saw my face. My hands were trembling. What on earth did he do?

"Nothing." I lied and wiped my eyes.

"Don't tell me you saw a ghost?" Irin asked.

"More than that. A devil." I replied.

Irin was scared, so she pulled me to go out. When we got to where people were drinking, I saw Freen's uncle again. My hands trembled. He looked innocent outside. Just like his niece. I think I know where Freen got her traits.

"Bec, you leaving?" Irin asked when she saw me getting my bags and going out. "It's still early."

"I need to go home." I stormed out and went to our neighbor—Non's father.

I knocked on his house, and when he opened it, I immediately cried and asked if he had contact with my brother. I was afraid. I couldn't stay at my house anymore.

"What happened, Becky?" he asked and rubbed my back. "Wait, I think Richie left something when he went outside. He said he couldn't give it to you since you were angry at him."

Non's father went inside his room and took a piece of paper. "I think it's a contact number and an address. I don't know whom, but I think it's his."

I immediately grabbed the paper even though my hands were trembling. My mind was clouded with thoughts and fear was undeniable. That gross creature.

"Do you have a phone?" I asked.

"Yes... yes." He was panicking too because I couldn't stop crying.

This was the first time I experienced that, and I didn't want a second time. I needed help. I needed to call my father or Richie. Or anyone who could help me.

"Here." He handed me a phone, and I dialed the number. In three rings, it answered.

"Hello?" It was Richie's voice, and I couldn't help but cry. "Who is this? Bec?"

"Richie..." I cried again. "Please, get me in here tonight. Please... I'm begging you."

"It's already evening. Can't you wait tomorrow?" he asked.

"Now! I need you to be here now!" I yelled at him and my frustration keeps growing. "Please. Take me away. I'm afraid."

"Wait, where's mom?" Richie asked.

"I will tell you later, but please, come here please." I couldn't see properly now because of tears.

I needed to get out of here. Please. Lord, please save me.
