Prologue: Past Thoughts...

Start from the beginning

After walking for what felt like hours, Y/N stopped at the edge of a cloud. An edge of Heaven? Who would've thought? After stopping, Y/N merely looked down past the cloud. Besides a seemingly endless void past the bounds of Heaven's domain, there was a glimmer of red. And if one looked closer at that glimmer, then they would have noticed the shape of a Pentagram. That was Hell, the opposite of everything Heaven stood for and where those who's souls were sent if they weren't found worthy to be in Heaven. All because of the freedom to choose.

Y/N: "To choose and to dream..."

Y/N thought aloud to himself before sitting down on the cloud, letting his legs dangle off the edge and allowing him to continue gazing at the distant Pentagram. His mood changed as the light in his wings seemed to dim and the tendrils lost the shape of wings before dropping to the cloud. Y/N couldn't help but sigh as he took his helmet off and set it to the side, allowing us to see his angelic face, sliver/black hair and his silver eyes that had hint of orange. His eyes also portrayed that of sadness and longing.

Y/N: "Why did you have to be a dreamer Lucy...?"

Y/N bitterly thought. His mind couldn't help but replay a scene from so long ago...

Millenia ago...

We see Y/N, still relatively the same, as he stands with arms crossed as a short figure paces back and forth in front of him, rambling to him. This figure is a women wearing a white dress with matching white gloves that go just below her shoulders, about six feet tall, long blonde hair, blue eyes, pale white skin with rosy red cheeks, a gold halo lined with hearts floating above her head, and six white feathered wings on her back. This is Lucifer, or just Lucy as she likes to be called, Morningstar.

Lucy: "Ugh! Why can't they understand that there is more to life than order? Why can't they see the dullness of it all

Lucy: "Ugh! Why can't they understand that there is more to life than order? Why can't they see the dullness of it all. It not all black and white, good or bad, cats and dogs! That last one doesn't make much sense, but still!"

Y/N couldn't help but sigh. This has been going on for well over an hour, ever since she got reprimanded about her creativity by some of the higher angels, even her own brother Michael. To say she was not happy was an understatement. Then again, this wasn't the first time this happened and probably won't be the last.

Getting tired of her ramblings, Y/N steps forward before putting his hands on her shoulders to snap her out of her tirade.

Y/N: "Lucifer! LUCY!"

Him shouting at her managed to snap her out of it and look at Y/N.

Y/N: "I know you like to think big, to dream for the better, I do too. But you know the council are stubborn, still stuck in their old ways. But constantly going on about your ideas isn't going to help them broaden their views, it'll just make them reject them even more. You have to give them time."

Lucy looked to where Y/N's eyes would be before giving out a sigh and lowering her head.

Lucy: "I know, its just... Aren't you tired of it? Being limited to what they say and do and having next to no freedom? How are we supposed to bring about life in the universe if that life doesn't get a choice in their freedom, on what they are and aren't supposed to do?"
