On August 29th, in Guangzhou.

It was the start of another school year, and the train station was bustling with long banners welcoming new students from various universities.

Leading the welcoming team at the station for C University today was Jiang Xue, the vice president of the Student Union. A senior in the History Department, she was a tall, long-haired beauty known for her straightforward and warm personality, spending the entire afternoon under the scorching sun at the station.

At 4:30 pm, just after settling a few junior sisters from the Literature Department, Jiang Xue looked up and spotted a tall guy not far away. Dressed in simple jeans and a black t-shirt, his towering figure made him stand out in the crowd. Wearing a duckbill cap with the brim low, he had a clean and sharp jawline, a faint smile playing on his lips.

Seeing the banner for C University's welcome, the guy walked over in their direction.

Wasn't his entrance a bit too cool? Everyone couldn't help but look up at him.

The guy stopped at the welcome area, took off his sunglasses, and politely asked, "Excuse me, when does the school bus arrive?"

Caught in his gaze, Jiang Xue couldn't help but be surprised.

He was exceptionally handsome, with a smile on his face, giving off a friendly vibe. This year's new students were quite impressive, with handsome guys and beautiful girls everywhere, but this guy seemed to have a unique charm... Was he really a new student? Why didn't he have the typical freshness and innocence of a newcomer?

Though puzzled, Jiang Xue still warmly replied, "It'll be here soon. Which department are you from, junior?"

The guy answered, "I'm from the History Department."

Jiang Xue smiled, "What a coincidence! I'm from the History Department too. If you ever need help, feel free to reach out. By the way, I'm Jiang Xue, the class monitor for the fourth year of the History Department."

Just then, Jiang Xue's phone rang. A fellow student in charge of transportation informed her that the school bus had arrived.

Jiang Xue gathered the junior and senior students, leading them across to the parking lot.

She instructed the freshmen to board the bus one by one, taking the last spot herself. Glancing around, she noticed the seat next to the guy from the History Department was vacant. She walked over and took a seat beside him.

Turning her head, she saw the guy had put on earphones, engrossed in his phone, playing a game.

He had a pair of hands that looked quite attractive, fingers slender and joints well-proportioned. When his hands swiftly tapped on the screen, it resembled a pianist playing a complex piece, dazzling to watch.

He was focused, playing the game "Rhythm Master."

It was a popular music game where hitting the beats in sync with the music increased the score. Facing fast-paced songs could easily leave players overwhelmed, requiring high-speed, rhythm sense, and quick reactions.

Watching him play for a while, the combo count on the screen kept soaring without interruption.

As the song ended, the screen displayed the dazzling golden words "allbo (full combo)." Jiang Xue couldn't help but praise, "Junior, you're really skilled at playing Rhythm Master! I can manage around 400 combos at most on this song, and you effortlessly hit over 700!"

The guy replied, "This song is moderate in difficulty. I can handle even more challenging ones. I can full combo a song with 1200 notes."

Jiang Xue: "..."
