Chapter Fourty

The hospital door opens and my mom runs in.

"Bj!" My mom exclaims, grabbing my face and placing a kiss on my forehead.

She looks me up and down like she's scanning for an injury..

"I thought something happened to you" My mom pulls me into a hug.

"No, I'm okay" I assure her, running my fingers through my curly fro.

She smiles in relief, taking a deep breath.

"So why are you at the hospital?"

I motion my head toward Sasha "She was raped"

My mom gasps before furrowing her eyebrows in confusion "Who is this?"

"Her name is Sasha. I pulled up to her house to take her on a date and when I got there she was laying on the bed all beat up with her clothes ripped" I tell my mom.

My mom covers her mouth in shock

"I need you to tell the doctors you're here to pick her up because we have no idea where her mom is and they won't discharge her without an adult" I explain the situation.

My mom nods "Okay, Sure"

I smile "Thank you"

Dj's phone begins to ring.

"What's up?" Dj answers his phone.

"Right now?" He questions sitting up in his seat.

"What hospital?" Dj continues to talk on the phone.

"Okay I'm already up here, text me her room number and let me know when it's done" Dj smiles.

"Alright bet" He ends the call..

"What happened?" Summer asks Dj rubbing his left arm.

"Dani's going into labor, giving birth to my niece" Dj smiles.

"Awww" Summer squeals.

The room door opens and in walks the doctor.

"An adult, Hi" The doctor greets my mom in relief.

"Hi, I'm here to pick up- Sasha" My mom says almost forgetting her name.

"Okay, are you mom?" The doctor asks.

My mom shakes her head "Her mom and I are like sisters" She lies to the doctor.

"Okay, do you have an ID?" The doctor questions.

My mom nods, rummaging through her purse.

"Here you go" She hands the doctor her ID.

I watch as he scans the ID..

"Perfect, I'll be right back with her discharge papers" He gives my mom her ID back.

"Thank you" My mom smiles, moving her chestnut colored hair out of her face.

The doctor leaves the room.

"Can you ask Dad to give me my car back?" I ask my mom as we leave the hospital with Sasha.

Dj and Summer stayed for Dani.

My mom takes a breath "Your dad is being very stubborn right now"

"Wasn't beating me up enough?" I ask aggravated.

My mom stops walking, turning to face me.

"You know your dad loves you right?" My mom asks looking me in the eyes.
