Chapter 13: File: Jaune Arc

"No. I'm afraid we'll have to rely on other methods."

The others nodded.

Summer was sighing in relief on the inside. The truth is that she didn't want Ruby near Jaune.

Leonardo Lionheart raised his hand.

"Question. The warriors we hire. Do they have to be huntsmen and huntresses?" He asked

"What do you mean, Leo?" Ozpin asked.

"I suggest we employ A-Rank and S-Rank prisoners to subdue Jaune," He replied.

This suggestion surprised the others, though there were mixed opinions among them.

"You can't be serious," Qrow said, seeing the idea as dangerous.

"He's right," James began, "Prisoners like those needed high-rankers to apprehend them. A lot of people died just to put them away."

Summer, Tai, Glynda, and Qrow nodded.

Theodore sighed.

"It might be one of our best options," He said.

"At least we could get rid of some scum while keeping our good men and women safe."

Raven and Vernal glared at Theodore, knowing they and their tribe were the kind of scum he'd sacrifice as pawns.

"And better them dying than me dying," Leonardo thought.

"And how would we control them?" Tai asked.

"Some laugh at gravity and electricity dust measures."

"Ozpin. You know magic? Do you have any spells that can keep them in line?" Leonardo asked.

Ozpin shook his head.

"I don't," He started.

"But the Relic of Knowledge could."

This news made the others nod. Yes, the Relic of Knowledge could answer any question. However, there were catches to such a powerful item. You were limited to only three questions every hundred years...And there were only two questions left.

"Truth be told, even with Raven here, I didn't want to use the Relic of Knowledge out of fear we may need it in the fight against Salem," He thought.

He mentally sighed.

"But desperate times call for desperate measures..."

"...Besides. The Relic could give us the answer to defeating Wuya once and for all."

"If the Relic of Knowledge could help us, I'm all for using it," James said.

"Especially since Jaune and Wuya could summon Mala Mala Jong."

The name brought shivers to most of the inner circle. Ozpin's details about the demon warrior instilled fear among his comrades.

Raven and Vernal wondered who Mala Mala Jong was.

"No mean to scare us even more, but why haven't they summoned him yet?"

"Perhaps they lack the means to control him," Leonardo said with some fear in his voice.

Ozpin shook his head.

"No. Wuya was able to control him before in her ghost form," He started, "There must be another reason."

The others wondered why Jaune and Wuya hadn't summoned Mala Mala Jong. Some grew even more afraid for a more sinister reason they couldn't think of. A few gave their theories.
