"I didn't want to worry you three," Ozpin said, referring to Summer, Tai, and Qrow.
"Well, we're worried! Worried that our daughters are no different from the criminals we capture!" Summer shouted in anger.
Summer took deep breaths, trying to comprehend how her daughters betrayed their friend.
Qrow and Tai weren't taking it easy. This isn't what they taught the girls.
"Beleive me. I wanted to help them see the error of their ways."
"You help them? Why didn't you help Mr. Arc, Ozpin?" James asked.
Ozpin looked down at his desk.
"At the time, I was worried about being replaced by someone from Salem's faction. I was afraid that it would lead to Amber and the Relic being taken."
Amber was torn. While she was happy to be safe from Salem, she felt sorry for Jaune who had to suffer for her safety.
While some found his reasoning logical, others found it to be cowardly.
Ozpin sighed, pushing down his grief.
"I've made my choices..."
He looked up to the others.
"...But so has Jaune."
That was one thing many of them agreed on. They believed even though Jaune shouldn't have done it, he shouldn't have taken Wuya's offer.
While they couldn't forget how he was treated, they had to put it aside to stop the threat he had become.
As time passed, they became more focused on taking Jaune down.
Qrow clutched his chest, feeling a tinge of pain at the memory of his fight.
"So. What's the plan?" Qrow asked.
"Put more resources into tracking him down?"
"That won't be necessary," Ozpin said.
"I know a way that can bring him to us."
Many were surprised to hear this.
"Why not use it?" Leonardo asked.
Ozpin shook his head.
"Because we aren't strong enough to take him on, especially if he is using the Shen Gong Wu."
No one argued. Given the feats Jaune has accomplished, fighting him right away would only be suicide.
"What do you suggest?" James asked.
"Theodore. James. Leonardo. The four of us will gather as many high-rank huntsmen and huntresses as you can. The day we bring in Jaune, we will need as many powerful warriors to back us up."
The other three nodded in agreement, but one cowardly lion-faunus would half-ass his assignment.
"Hmmm. If I implant some of Salem's warriors in the roster, they could capture Jaune and bring him to Salem. Then, I'd be in her good graces," Leonardo thought, thinking of a way to save his own skin.
James sighed.
"I can secure scores of knights and paladins," James said, earning a nod from Ozpin.
"What about the Xiaolin Dragons? Should we have them join the attack force?" Leonardo asked.
"No!" Summer shouted, putting all eyes on her.
"They aren't ready for such a mission!"
"She's right. The other four haven't even reached apprentice level and the fifth dragon hasn't even been revealed yet," Ozpin said.
