"I checked that. The prisoner log revealed two prisoners were not accounted for: Jaune Arc and Jack Spicer."
James went wide-eyed hearing that.
"Spicer was on that bullhead?!"
His shouting surprised the others who knew him for his mostly calm and quiet, yet stern nature.
"Who is Jack Spicer?" Leonardo asked.
"A genius. Bolstering a high IQ, he had mastered most fields of science before he was twelve," James retorted.
Many were impressed with such accomplishments for someone so young.
"I even offered him a lead spot on one of Atlas's research and development teams."
James sighed in sadness.
"Unfortunately, he decided it was more enjoyable to use his gift to commit crimes rather than help people."
Some of them sighed as well at someone so promising using his skills for evil.
"One day, he was captured. Given the amount of major crimes he committed, the Vale government sent him to the Gu Prison."
"The same place as Jaune," Ozpin added.
"No doubt, he caused the bullhead to crash and escape. Mr. Arc just used the opportunity to leave as well," James said, earning nods from others.
"From there, he somehow met Wuya, and well...The rest is history," Ozpin said, the last part something he knew a lot about.
The room fell silent. While some were wondering more about what would happen next, James was looking through Jaune's file. His eyes widened in shock.
"Ozpin. His grades in tactics and strategy...He has full marks," James said a little afraid.
"Yes," Ozpin began, "Mr. Arc may have been behind in other classes, but he excelled in tactics and strategies."
"He had a natural talent for them and that class only served to polish and hone that gift."
Ozpin sighed in sadness.
"And yesterday's Xiaolin Showdown further proves that."
Tai, Summer, and Glynda remained silent. That day still gives them awe and chills.
"What happened yesterday?" Theodore asked.
Ozpin sighed. He retold the whole Xiaolin Showdown in detail.
James, Theodore, Leonardo, Raven, Qrow, Vernal, and Amber were shocked to hear this.
Summer and Glynda were still adjusting.
Tai didn't question Jaune's intelligence, having faced him in a showdown before for the Eye of Dashi.
"The more I think about it, the way he had acted and the way he fought...I wouldn't be surprised if he picked the challenge and planned out everything beforehand."
"The difficulty level."
"The Showdown conditions and restrictions."
"Taking all the points from the others."
"Protecting and then destroying the lighthouse."
"Killing the final boss from the inside out."
"Not only that, he made it look like the undead minions were Mr. Spicer's thus making us think he was Wuya's minion. As a result, after the showdown, we were more focused on apprehending the rest of the rogues, that we neglected to go after the most dangerous one."
