"Its a bust. We ain't got shit." Hank said kicking around some glass with his boot.

"Lets check the businesses that were open at the time, maybe they saw something." I offered, he nodded his head slowly but I could tell he didn't like our odds.

To be fair, he was right. Every store either only had android's working and just complained about being understaffed now or didn't see anything. One store owner was clearly high on red ice and harassed me as Hank asked him questions.

"Why the fffUck are youuu, " He said, pushing me in the chest hard, making me stumble slightly. "Youu plastic asshoOle, hunting these ffuckin droids for?" Hank grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled him away from me.

"That's enough." He said, dad mode activated as he stared down the man who didn't take his angry eyes off me.

"You will kill us all ya hear?" He pointing at me with a diry finger before turning to Hank,"that thing won't save us."

"Alright, we're leaving." Hank said, pushing the man backwards and I walked towards the door and out onto the sidewalk, breathing a sigh of relief as we got out.

The man's energy felt as if it was suffocating me and the cool air outside let it slowly fade away. Hank rubbed his beard as he stared back at the large digital flag with the rebellions symbol flowing from the top of a building and sighing.

"I'm going to go call the cheif, let him know we got nothin." He said and I nodded as he walked away and decided I'd look around a bit more as called.

I walked around the small shopping strip and looked at the stories of people unfolding around me. A mother ignoring her crying child as an android trys to take care of it while holding all their stuff, a couple in a bookstore reading and holding hands, a homeless man sitting on the corner. I was shocked when I felt someone grab my wrist from behind and turned to find an AP700 model named Rose, belonging to an 27 year old script writer named Henry Frank, smiling up at me. There were two men not far behind her, one arm around the others waist, I noticed one of the men was Henry and was using a cane to help him stand, both of them smiling gently at me.

"You're an RK800," She said letting go of my wrist. "I-I've heard of your model, a prototype for crime investigation, You must be here because of the liberation march, right?" I stared shocked, not knowing that other androids knew about my existence.

"Y- yes, I am investigating deviant cases" Her smile faded as I said that and she took both my hands in hers and pulled me close.

"You need to be free." She said with a serious tone.

"What? But I-"

"I know what you were programmed for. But- you have the power to save yourself. " She turned to look at the men behind her, "free yourself, dont let the humans win, let mebe with my family, they're going to take me away if we lose." I looked between her and the couple looking at me with desperation in their eyes.

"I.. don't know... if I-" She shook her head and gripped my hands tighter.

"Just-just think about what you want." She let go of my hands and I was frozen in shock as I watched her walk away, Henry patting her back.

"Connor!" I quickly turned to face Hank- snapped out of my daze. "Lets go, the Cheif wants to talk to us." After the day I've had the last thing I wanted was to face Cheif Fowler right now.

You:

I found a therium cupcake at a grocery store nearby after hank and connor rushed out I decided to go grocery shopping for Hank as he had practically nothing and saw it sitting on the counter in the sweets section, its meant for parents of child androids to give to them on a special occasion, but I think he would appreciate it all the same. Apparently it was 86% thirium and the rest was human ingredients to make it more cupcake like. A soft light blue cake and a cream cheese pastel blue frosting with sprinkles. I hung around all day, ignoring the mountain of emails I had just thinking about Connors face when I give him the cupcake. Although, when he walked in with Hank, I wondered if there was a time they wouldn't walk in looking troubled and unkempt and decided to save the cupcake for after work, puting it in my backpack. They barely even looked at me as they walked to the back, still too deep in whatever they experienced out there and I figured it would be better to let them do what they need to do and just stay out of the way.

A half an hour of soft rock and Tetris later, I decided I couldn't wait any longer and left the front desk, leaving my chair spinning in my wake. I walked slowly up to the desks in the back and began to overhear Hank and Connor's conversation.

"-what if were fighting people who just want to be free?" Hank yell-whispered.

"Were not supposed to want anything." Connor said, putting his face in hands as he sighed, slowly he took his face out to see me looking at him and froze, sitting up from his hunched over position and looking at me. Causing Hank to turn towards me as well making me able to see the anger on his face.

He got up with an angry huff and walked past me with heavy steps.

"Hank? Where are you goin?" I asked as he left.

"To get drunk!" He yelled back at me, making me sigh and turn back to the flustered android.

"What the hell happend today?" I asked, walking over to sit in Hank's now empty chair. Connor just sighed and bowed his head, running a hand through his hair.

It's odd to see him stressed. Like, at most, I've seen him dazed or flustered but full out stressed was very different. He looked up at me through his eyelashes, his LED flashing yellow.

"Want to go?" He said, looking towards the door and back, with exaughtion in his voice.

"What, leave? Now?"

"Yes, I just need to..." he paused as he thought, I've never seen him have to think of what to say as he saying it. "I don't want to be here right now, okay?"

I looked at him shocked. I've never seen so much emotion coming from him before and my mind raced as to what could have happend out there. He cocked his head to the side and raised his eyebrows, pleading with his eyes as he looked up at me. Pulling the cutest puppy dog face I've ever seen and my heart instantly shattered into a million pieces.

"Okay..." I said without thinking and then sighed, standing and beginning to walk towards the front "fine. let's go."

He scrambled out of his seat to follow me to my desk and began grabbing my things for me and shoving my coat onto my shoulders as I tried to clock out. Clearly wanting to get out of here as fast as we could.

This man could make me do anything with those fuckin puppy dog eyes.
