Shattered

The last day

I just stare at him trying to process what he said.

His eyes are watering up " promise me that you will come to me if you do....please Chapa I can't loose you too"

The tears fall down his cheek, I can tell he really means what he says. I feel so guilty for bringing him into all of this.

I wipe the tear off of his face " I promise"

He smiles warmly at me and pulls me into a hug. Usually I don't like hugs, but I know he needs one.

I scrolled through my notifications. I have a lot of missed calls and texts from Mika, she's probably asleep right now but I'm gonna text her anyway.

Mika💨: are you ok?
Mika💨: can you answer your phone. You just got it back I know ur not bored of it already :|
Mika💨: I'm getting worried about you.
Mika💨: Why did you guys really skip today
Mika💨: do you want to come over later?

I look at the time, it's 12:20 so it's probably too late to answer the last question.

Chapa🔥: hey, sorry my phone was on DND. Yes I'm ok, probably to late to come over now haha

I get out of my bed a look at myself in the mirror, bags are still under my eyes. I look at my hair in its natural black colorI miss my red hair but I still haven't used the dye I bought.

My phone dings a few times and I look to see who is texting me.

1 message from Mika💨

Okayyy apparently she is awake

Mika💨: my window is open :)

I chuckled at that, then I realized something. I got her some blue dye maybe she will let me dye her hair!!

Chapa🔥: so I may or may not have bought some silver dye that would look good on you as well as some red for me...

Mika💨: yeah yeah bring it over I'll look at it. Btw my parents aren't home so if they ask you we're never here 👍

I chuckled at the last part then send back a thumbs up.

I start grabbing stuff and putting it into a bag, I also texted my family group chat to let them know what I was going to her house

I let her know I'm on my way, hop out my window and start heading to her house.

2:00 am

Me and Mika are in her room doing face masks, she has one of those charcoal peel off ones.

"Dude stop moving " I say as I help her peel it off her face

Mika moves again " sorry it hurts"

I pat her on the head, " I think you will be ok"

I look at her and smile and she gives one back, we stare at each other for a minute. Then without warning I rip off the rest of the mask causing her to yelp and me to laugh

"Seriously" she says

"I'm sorry I couldn't resist"

She shouts at me causing me to stumble back. I look at her to see her giggling

" that's what you get" Mika starts to pick up the remains of her face mask. When I know she's distracted I take the opportunity to zap her shoulder.

The girl slowly turns to face me

She suddenly charges at me trying to knock me down again, this time she succeeds and we start rolling around on her floor.

Mika is on top of me when we both freeze hearing somebody opening the door
