It's finally time that we attach Festus. Leo has been working on him for weeks while I help the Hephaestus cabin build the interior of the ship. I made my own cabin, and Leo made his. I found a design in one of the sketchbooks that are piled all around the bunker. A design for rooms that are bigger on the inside than the outside. That's our secret, though. We'll be here for an extra month if we do it for every room.
I stand with Leo at the hull of the ship excitedly. He connects all the wiring he's been working on, and welds the head of the dragon. I get a weird feeling on the back of my neck. Like we're being watched. I look around, but don't see anything. Weird.
"Alright buddy, Come on." Leo rubs his hands together in excitement.
After a few moments, the eyes blink to life.
"Yes!" We exclaim, hugging. He did it!"
Festus whirrs his teeth at us in greeting.
"Leo, you did it!" I wrap my arms around him tightly. "You did it!"
He kisses me, wrapping his arms around me. "We did it, mamacita."
