"I wish you goodness but I can't be around to see it."
You were a good man to me, even when you were breaking me.
You said you wanted to stay friends but I cannot stay that way.
I tell you this but leave out the part that it's because I can't watch you fall in love with someone who isn't me.
Especially when you never fell in love with me.
I hope you have a good life but it would kill me to stay around and see you living that life without me.
It's easier to imagine goodness for you than to experience it being true.
I love you but I wish to never see you again.
