⊱∘──AERYN──∘⊰

I had a feeling that when Vandris said that he had something to say to me, it was connected to what Victoria's mother had told me. Maybe, the seer in his land has seen that future where the shadow demons return.

I went to the top of Mount Ceaburg located south of Region 9 where at the cliff of the mountain, I can see the wide river that encircled the central districts. It is a place where I can wait for Vandris while being alone.

Chaos. Chaos. And another chaos.

"You have quite the deep thoughts right there."

"Can I sit beside you?" He asked politely.

"Sure."

He was careful not to be harsh when he sat beside me. There were also a few inches between us as we sat in silence for a few seconds. And then I somehow remember all the times that I've been with him in my dreams, hanging out with him like we were best friends even though we didn't really know each other and I didn't know if he was real.

"Can you still hear my thoughts?" I asked, raising my brow in fascination and somehow irritant.

Magic, really, is incredible.

"Well, yeah." Tumingin siya sa akin. "We still have that connection."

"Why? If you want to say something, you can say it. I made some time to have this conversation."

"Right." He mumbled. "Wait a minute."

He moved his hand down to the ground and spread his palm on the grass. For a moment, I was confused about what he was doing until I figured out that he was making a barrier around us on this cliff seeing as though there was a transparent fabric around us.

"What's with the barrier?" Tanong ko.

"To hide our presence and so that no one would be able to hear our conversation."

"Oh. Okay."

Or maybe, I'm just not trying hard.

He finally asked, "Why didn't you cut the thread?"

"Do you want me to?"

"N-No. It's not that. Of course, I didn't want you to..." He took a sigh and took a moment to continue what he was saying without being flustered. "I apologize for saying this but to be honest, it would be strange for me that one day I will wake up knowing that the connection that I have with someone for the first time has been severed. I didn't want you to cut the thread."
