You spin around and see him not far behind you. You bow your head hello and walk closer to him.

He looks at you for a moment before raising his hand. As he does, a fiery red glow engulfs you and you can feel her soul changing.

Your mind falls dizzy and your body tingles with warmth. The ritual has begun and you could already feel yourself gaining strength and power.

The ritual continues, with the fire spreading through you as if each new skill you would obtain was being carved into your soul. When it is finally finished, the feeling between your palms is like standing next to a bonfire, and you were able to see and sense spirit energy just as well as he can. He holds a hand out to you.

Your eyes light up and a smile spreads along your face. You felt you could finally obtain the power you needed to fight. You see his hand extended out in front of you and reach yours out to take it.

As your hands touch, he gives a slight press and the heat intensifies, causing you to almost pull back, but this is the final step to completing the bond between them. They are now locked together, and he lets go.

when he lets go, the warmth slowly subsided and dies down. You look down at your hands. You felt renewed and now more powerful. You look at him.

"I can't thank you enough for helping me, Scorpion. I already feel as though the power you have gave me is coursing through me. I feel every sensation, I hear the voices of the people who wronged me suffering for their sins. This gift...is truly remarkable," you thank, memorized by it all.

He bows slightly to you.

"You are skilled now. You have made the first part of your oath, and the power I lent you should be sufficient to defeat Sub-Zero. Now fulfill the rest of your oath; go, find your sister and face your enemy," he says.

You smile, but before beginning your travels, you wanted to test out some of your new abilities. You could manipulate flames in the palm of your hand and flip landing perfectly on two legs. You could make fire balls and throw your knife like a boomerang much like Jade could. The powers were truly amazing to say the least. You look at him, smiling proudly at you and your new abilities you held.

He smiles at her and his eyes reflect like a blazing sun.

"You have learned quickly. I'm impressed. How soon must you deal with Sub-Zero?" Scorpion asked.

"He's not far, but I have some time to spare. I want...to give you something in return for giving me this gift," you say, looking at him.

He looks at her curiously, wondering what she has in mind.

You contemplate before taking a step towards the man in front of you.

"I don't have much to offer, but I can give you this. My way of thanking you," you say before placing your hands on his shoulders and kissing either sides of his cheeks.

"I'm forever in your debt, Scorpion. My life is now in the hands of yours and I wish you the best." you smile, taking your hands away from his shoulders.

His mouth drops open in surprise at your sudden action. The kiss leaves your face feeling like a bonfire against your cheeks, and he almost falls back at its sudden intensity. After a moment of hesitation, he pulls your hands to his lips and kisses them quickly.

"I have no debts. You have upheld the contract and paid me with your loyalty and respect. I wish you the best as well." He says wholeheartedly.

Your smile widens, not expecting him to react the way he did.

"So many may have wronged you, but I promise my honour for you will never go unnoticed for what you've did for me today. When I return with my sister, I would like to visit you again," you offer. He raises an eyebrow, a bit surprised.

"You mean to visit me again, even after you have finished your affair with Sub-Zero?" He questions.

"It would be my pleasure after all you've did for me today. Afterall, a man such as yourself deserves the company every now and then. I know you are a man who would rather much fight alone as most aren't to be trusted, but if you ever need someone to accompany you, just know I'll be there," you say with a bow of your head.

Scorpion studies you for a long moment before bowing back. He smiles and offers his hand again, allowing his firey presence to warm you.

"That would be kind," His eyes flash with amusement "I am surprised that you would be interested in someone like me." Scorpion says, almost sounding as if he couldn't believe it in himself.

"The legend you are, the people you've faced and the sacrifices you've made. None of that ever stopped you from claiming back what was rightfully yours to begin with. I value that," you say, looking down, nervous to say the last part.

"I would be so lucky if you ever decided you were in need of a bride. I would most definitely be yours in a heartbeat for I have been fond of you for the longest time. I'm glad I have had the blessing to be able to meet you," you say, looking up at him with soft eyes.

His face is almost stunned by this declaration, and he can't believe what his ears are telling him. It takes a moment for him to understand what you were offering, and he looks at you, searching your face for any sign that you may be lying or trying to trick him. Finally, he leans over and rests his forehead gently against yours, causing another hot flash to flood your skin.

You lean your forehead on his as well, not caring about the heat that coursed through your body like a wave. The feeling was almost thrilling and exciting.

"I treasure you for I am yours if you want me to be." You whisper gently to him.

"I would be fortunate to have you," He kisses your forehead and his eyes once more reflect the blazing sun.

"There is something about you I cannot resist. I knew it the moment we met," He adds.

"Before I go, would you mind if I was to kiss you. For good luck," you ask, closing your eyes nervously.

"How could I resist such a request from a woman as beautiful and strong as you?" His eyes flare brighter as he leans down and kisses you on the lips with a passion he has not even shown in battle.

You return the kiss back, wrapping your arms around his back lovingly. Flames engulf around you two, the heat was blissful and made the moment capture how beautiful it was.

Your passion is infectious, and the two embrace tightly, the passion growing hotter and hotter until you would surely combust if it could not be released. Your bodies meld against each other, the feeling of your lips sending his spirit into a frenzy. He pulls you tightly against him, feeling your warmth and heat spread across his skin. He kisses you back, this time with no regard for the surroundings he simply wants to be lost in this moment.

When you separate, your eyes light up with nothing more than love for the man stood in front of you.

"I shall return to you when I'm back. Thank you again for everything you have done for me." You smile, rubbing his cheek.

The heat still spreads like fire, and he looks down on you with such fondness that it is almost hard for you to see his eyes clearly.

"I will hold my thoughts of you and wait for you to return. And thank you as well, for showing me what true passion looks like." He says sounding genuinely thankful.

The sun sets fully now and the two of you share one more kiss feeling the romance in the air around yous. The moment was beautiful, two lost souls finally finding one another.

He pulls you as close as he can in your final moment of embrace. His touch is gentle, almost reverent, and he holds your face in his hands as he caresses your cheeks with his thumbs. His eyes never leave yours, staring at you like a hawk, as if he could just lose himself looking at you.

And so as you depart away for now, the whole journey you thought about him.
