VIOLET BENNET was one of the most notorious women in English society.
The Heiress was well known for her often loudly expressed objections to marrying and rebellions against societal norms of women being quiet and passive.

The notoriety forced Violet to resign herself to a life of solitude in her home estate until news of American arrivals in London spread like wildfire, pushing the girl to vacate her home and greet the new visitors.
