New Years Eve Day
Avery POV
Today is New Year's Eve so that means today Niall's friends are coming over. I haven't met Niall's friends that much because they have been busy. I only met Mully and that's it. Also, some of Niall's friends have kids so I get to meet them. I haven't told anyone but I'm scared of fireworks they freak me out. Whenever I hear one I just jump or scream. Niall doesn't know about this because he was so excited to see the fireworks. Lilly and him have been excited and I don't want to ruin anything.
This morning I woke up and started to make breakfast. I thought I should make french toast and bacon this morning for all of us. While I was making breakfast I heard someone coming downstairs. I looked behind me to see sleepy Lilly is coming down the stairs.
"Good morning Lilly" I told her as she came to the kitchen
"Good morning mummy" she said as she raised her hands up for me to carry her
That feeling doesn't get old with her call me mummy. It so so real to me that she wants me to be her step mum. That's just crazy.
"What are you making?" she asked me as she looked at the pan that has bacon on it
"French toast and bacon" I told her
"Yummy. Can I have some?" she asked me
"Yes you can but can you go wake up your dad first?" I asked her and she nodded
I kissed her cheek and put her down. She went upstairs while I was setting up the table for us to eat breakfast. While I was setting up the table I heard a squeal. I looked up the stairs to see Lilly is running for her life and Niall is chasing after.
"Come back here you little one" Niall told her
"Mummy help me" Lilly told me
"Come here. I'll save you" I told her as I reached out for her
She ran up to me and I picked her up. I put her on my hip and she hugged my neck.
"You saved me" she said
"Yes I did" I told her and I looked at Niall to see he was smiling at us "Why were you chasing her?" I asked him and he walked over to us to make Lilly squeal
"Because this one woke me up this morning" Niall said as he poked her stomach to make her giggle
"Dada stop" she laughed
"This is what you get for waking me up" he told her
"I told her to wake you up" I told him and he stopped poking her
"Why?" he asked me
"Because we both are hungry and I thought we would eat breakfast as a family since we haven't done that for a long time" I told him and he smiled at me
"Okay fine you're off the hook but next time when I wake up and when you sleep in. She will wake you up" Niall told me as we sat down to eat our breakfast
"You wouldn't do that to me?" I asked him as I put french toast and bacon on his plate
"Yes I will so watch your back" he said with a wink and I giggled
"Are you ready for tonight?" Niall asked me as he ate his breakfast
"What's tonight?" Lilly asked me and I looked at her
"Today is New Years Eve. That means we stay up late and watch fireworks and have lots of food" I told her
"Who is coming?" she asked
