The first quarter of the new year was slowly coming to an end. The month of March was breezing by with a few warm spring days getting the residents of D.C. ready for the upcoming summer. Bri was currently in the kitchen with Calleigh in her arms as she prepared her a bowl of apple sauce. She had just completed her homework and two quizzes, so she was taking a small break tending to her 11 month old baby. In just shy of a few weeks will have a one year old and she honestly wasn't ready. Calleigh was growing up too fast and it was crazy. She started walking last month and Armis went into full daddy mode, baby proofing the whole house. It was gates at every staircase, sockets were covered, and cabinet doors had locks.

Bri blew raspberries into her neck making her fall into a fit of giggles.

"Muah!" Calleigh said as she gripped her mother's face with both hands, kissing her lips. Bri laughed and frowned at the Cheeto breath.

"Yo breath stank, Snook." Bri shook her head and kissed her cheeks before sitting her into her high chair. As she was fixing the cup of water and bowl of apple sauce, her phone started ringing. She looked at her Apple Watch and noticed it was her kid's school bringing her instant worry.

"Hello? Is this Ms. Knight?"

"Yes, this is she. What's going on, Ms. Chapman?" Bri asked the dean as she spoke into the watch. Her mind was going a hundred miles per hour as different scenarios bounced around.

"It's Messiah. He's currently in the nurse's office. He's been throwing up back to back since lunch. I tried to pull Ms. Washington out of class, but she's currently testing. He's running a fever as well."

Bri sighed and pulled Calleigh out of her high chair before running down the hall to Armis's office. She had redecorated it from top to bottom, adding his flare and style—getting rid of everything that belonged to that boy. Being that he was in public relations and management, she had a huge monitor and camera installed for his meetings. She knocked before opening the door. Once she saw that he was in a meeting, she mouthed 'sorry' and walked passed the camera, sitting their daughter in his lap.

"I'm leaving my house as we speak. If Yadira is done with her test before I get there, please pull her out for early dismissal."

"Will do. I'm getting Messiah's things together as we speak. He's asking for you."

"I don't feel good, Mommy!"

"Mommy is on the way, Papa. I promise you're gonna be okay. I'll be there in a minute." Bri shook her head and ended the call before looking up at Armis.

"Sorry for interrupting your meeting, baby, but Messiah has been throwing up at school, and he's running a fever. Is Mr. Will outside? I don't wanna drive because Tookie drove today. I'll just drive the Range back."

"Yes, he's outside. Are you taking Papa to the hospital once you leave the school?" Armis asked while pulling his tie out of Calleigh's mouth. Bri nodded her head.
