A FINAL TRIBUTE

I sit alone in the little nook,
Head full of unsaid words that I found in pages of books.
Eyes on the sky, but all I see is You.
These days the memories guide everything I do.

When the world stopped moving to sit back and learn,
In the dead of night, that's when our story begun.
We travelled mountains high and oceans wide
Like we could rule the world at each other's side.

You healed My wounds as I held your pain,
Two souls tangle; nothing to lose or gain.
The raw beauty that shrouded us;
Of words and thoughts of boundless trust.

We rise and fall with the ocean waves;
Slaves to a ritual the cosmos craves.
Love and lose and love again
Till you fall to earth like winter's rain.

The hearth recieves the icy cold,
Hides beneath the warmth it holds,
Of a fire bright; Eternal Flames,
Guards the ashes of burnt remains.

Not all pain is designed for sorrow.
Some, we welcome for a better tomorrow.
The bridge that hung on broken chains,
We burn it, then we build again.

They say, we should know what we Are.
It's not enough to share our scars.
But they don't know you're more than lovers
When you not just hurt but heal for another.

So, fight the war that engulfs your land.
Do not think of empty hands.
For, if in this Life I can't call you mine,
We shall meet again at the end of time.
