I walked into my house and dropped my bookbag on the ground, sighing in tiredness.
"How was school?" My mom leaned on the island with her coffee
"Stressful." I went into the fridge and grab me an bottled water.
"Well Dean is coming over for dinner tonight and you're brother is sleeping right now." She states
I nodded my head and went upstairs, I walked into Rafe's room and he wasn't sleep at all, he was playing on his Nintendo switch like always. "Well good evening to you too." I said
"Hey, Goodbye." His eyes focusing on the screen the whole time
"Rafe you need to clean your room, it smell like sweaty socks! You got all these clothes on the floor."
"Get out so you don't have to smell it." He replies without looking up at me
I threw a pile of shirts from the floor at his face, "YOU MADE ME DIE!" he yelled
I watch him get up and run towards me, I hurried and went into my room and locked the door. My brother was so crazy about his games but I always found it amusing. I just love irritating my brother.
"You guys playing tag? ouu I wanna play." Milo grinned from behind me
I jumped from his voice, "Why are you in here."
"Rhea? Who are you talking to? Do you have a boy in you're room?" Rafe questions behind the door
"No! It was me, look."
I tried to force my voice deeper to match Milo's. "See."
"Don't ever do that again." His voice and steps started to disappear.
I sighed in relief, I could not have my brother knowing about these males in this house. Vampires at that— it would literally put him in danger. He's just too young to know about them.
"My brother can't know about you guys! not even my mother." I turn to look at Milo who was smiling.
"Why are you smiling? Did you hear me little bloodsucker?"
"Little? Nothing is little about me and you're just cute when you're mad." He goggles my face.
"Yuck." I walked out my room as I heard the door bell rang.
I saw my mom get the door and Dean was reaching to hug her. "Hey honey, hey Rhea." His voice sounded friendlier today.
I noticed Dean trying to rush upstairs, "honey where are you going?"
"I need to go change out of my work clothes."
"You couldn't do that at you're place?" I question him as he stared back.
"Rhea." My mom said
"I'm just asking."
"No I couldn't, I'll be back down." He ran up the steps
"Rhea come help me prep the food."
"I got homework to do real quick."
"Rhea." She eyed me
"Fine."
