Chapter 6: The Trials

Tony: very mellow. That wasn't so bad. 
Wade: thankfully. 
Happy; look what we got there, the new model. 
Tony; hey, does she come with the car? 
Happy; I certainly hope so.

Tony: I'm on the wheel. do you mind? Where you from?

Happy let Wade in as the convertible opened as Happy also got in. 
Marshal: looking for you. 
Tony: yeah? You found me. <gets in the car> what are you up to later? 
Marshal: serving subpoenas. <hands him a paper> 
Tony: yikes. 
Happy:<grabs it> he doesn't like to be handed things. 
Tony: yeah, I have a peeve. 
Happy; I got it. 
Marshal: you and your son are hereby ordered to appear before the Senate Armed Services Committee tomorrow morning at 9:00 A.M. 
Tony: can I see a badge? 
Marshal: you wanna see the badge? 
Happy; he likes the badge. 
Marshal:<shows her badge> you still like it? 
Wade: dad, just drive. 
Tony: ok, ok. How far are we from D.C.? 
Happy: D.C.? 250 miles. 
Tony starts driving as Wade was really tired of government officials sending attractive women to get his dad to places when he wants Tony to be with Pepper. 
Senate Committee the next day 
Stern: Mr Stark, could we pick up now where we left off? 
Tony was mouthing Pepper as she tried to tell him to look forward as Wade was sitting next to Tony is a suit and tie of his own that he hates. 
Stern: Mr. Stark. Please. 
Tony: yes, dear. 
Stern; can I have you attention? 
Tony: absolutely. 
Stern: do you or do you not possess a specialized weapon? 
Tony: I do not. 
Stern: you do not? 
Tony: I do not. Well, it depends on how you define the word "weapon." 
Stern: the IronMan weapon. 
Tony: my device does not fit that description. 
Stern: well... how would you describe it? Because your son's device is clearly more on the medical field than a weapon. 
Tony: I would describe it by defining it as what it is, Senator. 
Stern: as? 
Tony: it's a high-tech prosthesis.
