That's all this 4-year-old boy wanted so why couldn't he have it? Instead of having fun and enjoying his childhood like the other kids 4-year-old Lukas had to worry if his abusers were going to shout at him for crying while they tortured the innocence out of this cute brown-eyed boy. His birth giver (she doesn't have the right to be called his mother that's a disgrace to mothers) abused him and drilled it into his mind that he was nothing but a mistake. Luckas thinks that his voice sounds awful and that he looks awful (not that he's ever seen himself). He also is smart for a 4 year old but he doesn't know that. His 'birth giver' and his so-called husband forced him to learn how to speak properly {English and Italian} and they would force him to speak and then punish him for speaking—such lovely people. Note the sarcasm. Lukas thinks that he is a mistake that no one loves him and is yearning for the love he sees in book characters but little does he know that somewhere out there— A few thousand miles away is a father who has never been the same since his child(whom he never met) was taken.
