A Diamond And A Sapphire

Sapphire has been keeping a close eye on the trolling, Floyd if she remembers correctly, since she and Flare diamond brought him and his brother back. The boy has been acting weird, and she can’t she can’t figure out why. When they found them they didn’t look hurt, besides the old ones, poor kids, but Floyd had this haunted look on his face. His brother was asleep when they found them, did something happen to him? She should have checked or brought the kid to the doctor. But she doubted Floyd would let her, he’s been carrying the trolling the whole time and refused to let anyone else carry him. In fact the kid refused to let anyone carry their bags. It worried her that the boy would tire himself out before they made camp again. She needs to talk to the king about this, but she’ll have to wait. Peppy is having the two stay near him, and she doesn't want to talk about it infront of them.

“Mom! Mom!”

Two cheery voices broke her out of her thoughts and made her look down at her two little girls. 
“What is it my little Gems?” She asked, a little startled.

“When are we going to stop walking!” Chenille complained. “I’m super tired!’

“Yeah!” Satin said, agreeing with her. 

She smiled tiredly at them and said, “I don’t know Gems, I can go ask.” she started to walk towards the king, signaling the girls to follow, and tapped him on the shoulder, and said “Peppy.” 

He jumped a bi,startled,and turned towards her saying, “UAh um, oh, sorry you startled me.” He cleared his throat,”What do you need, Sapphire?” 

She sighed a little aggravated and said, “When are we going to stop Peppy?” 

Peppy looked up at the sky, started to think then said, “It’s almost sundown.” 

She raised a brow, “What about sundown?” 

Her girls and Floyd looked at Peppy as well confused, glad she isn’t the only one confused. He shook his head, and said,”Nothing just tired.” He then walked ahead and said, “I’ll go find a place to rest.” and went to talk to some trolls, Floyd and his little brother following.

“Wonder what that was about?” Chenille said, having a confused look on her face, Satin nodded. 

“I have no idea.”

After a bit more walking, they managed to find a cave they could set up camp at. Though it wasn't the first one that they found, well sorta, turns out that was a creature disguised as a cave, we nearly died to it. But everyone made out ok, no deaths. 

He was finishing setting up camp for him and his son, when Sapphire went up to him looking very bothered. He smiled and waved at her and said, “Hey Sapph what's up?”

“I need your help, Flare.” Sapphire said, not even bothering to return the greeting, looking very serious. He dropped his smile, “What is it?”

She sighed and said, “I need help talking to the king.” Talking to the king? Isn’t he an easy guy to talk to? He must have made a face because Sapphire continued sharply, “About what happened in the forest with those two kids.”

His eyes widened a bit, and said “Floyd and Branch?” Why on earth does she need help talking about those two? He gave her a confused look and said, “Why?”

“I want to talk about what happened back there, but he won’t let those two out of his sight.” She said a little annoyed. That makes more sense, he also wanted to talk about what happened, but Peppy was busy. 

“So what do you want me to do?” 

She smiled, “I need you to watch the two.”

That threw him off guard, “Watch them?” he asked, trying to see if he heard her right. She nodded her head, confirming what she was saying, “Yep watch them.”

“Why do I need to watch them?” He asked, confused. She just looked irritated, pinching the bridge of her nose, when he said that. Though he thinks she is not mad at him specifically. 

“Peppy will use an excuse like he’s watching the boys and Poppy, and I don’t want that. So you are going to watch them while I talk to him.” 

That actually makes sense, but wait, “What about our kids?” 

“Oh, you’ll watch them too.”

“WHAT!?” 

Watching seven trollings?! He’ll go insane!

Sapphire ignored his cry and said, “You’ll be fine, now!” She grabbed his “Let’s go talk to him. Guy Diamond!”
His son's head popped out of the entrance of the tent and called out, “Yeah!”

“Can you go get Satin and Chenille, and meet us at King Peppys tent!” She yelled getting further from his camp. 

“Uh, ok!” Guy said, a little confused. Then he watched him run to where Sapphire set up camp, getting the two girls.

 He’s not ready for this.
