Hello, everyone!

This is the start of a new journey for me :D

Another book filled with lots and lots of fluff and violence!

Just a heads up, this is kind of a slow-burn, but it's filled to the brim with cute little moments between Killua and the reader :)

AND some small moments with Gon and co. (platonic, of course!)

I will update this book once a week, every Saturday.

Now, I thank you all for deciding to read my story, and hope that you'll like it!

Enjoy!

"Wait. Guys, look. Is that a kid?" "Holy- Who would allow their child to enter the Hunter Exam?" "I know, right? Irresponsable parents." "Hey, kid! Little girl!"

The young girl looked up from the ground, having overheard their entire conversation. She looked at the group of friends. The oldest one among them smiled kindly at her, asking: "How old are you? Do your parents know you're here?"

She pushed herself off the wall she was leaning on, walking up to them. With a slight bounce in her step, she said: "Nah, they don't know. I ran away." They all looked at her in confusion. A young lady asked: "Do you know where you are right now?"

Grinning, the girl replied: "Of course! I'm here for the Hunter Exam! Just like you guys are." "But... You're so young..." trailed another one off, frowning. She shrugged her shoulders, saying: "I am. So what? Am I not allowed to be a Hunter because I'm young?"

The group of friends hesitated, with one saying: "I guess that's cool... But you could die here, you know?" "I know." "Then why would-" The girl smiled brightly, saying: "I'm just here for fun!" "For... fun?" "Yeah! I heard the Exam is supposed to be super hard! I wanted to get away from my parents, and I figured I might as well absolve the Exam."

"That's a bit worrisome, is it not?" asked the lady, not liking the thought of a girl so young to participate. The young girl shrugged her shoulders, starting to walk away, saying: "I'm sure I can pass. But if I happen to die here, then I simply die here."

It was then that a bell had rung, gaining the attention of everyone present. One of the walls opened up, reviling a corridor, with a person standing there. "I apologize for the wait. The entry period for Hunter applicants has ended. The Hunter Exam will now begin!" he announced, loud enough for everyone to hear.

Feeling a pair of eyes on her, the young girl looked around, not able to spot the person that was watching her. She knew that she wasn't imagining it, but decided to let it slide for now.

"A final caution. If you are short on luck or ability, you could very well end up seriously injured or even dead. Those who accept the risks, please follow me." explained the examiner, pointing in front of him, behind the crowd.

He added: "Otherwise, please exit via the elevator behind you." Seeing that no one left, the examiner said: "Very well. All 404 applicants will participate in Phase One." With that, he began walking, the applicants following immediately.

He kept on picking up his speed, until the people were eventually jogging. "I neglected to introduce myself. I am Satotz, the Phase One examiner. I shall lead you to the Exam's Second Phase." he said.

One of the people asked: "Second Phase? What about the first one?" "It has already commenced." answered Satotz, looking back to say: "You must follow me to Phase Two. This is the Exam's first Phase."

"Follow you? That's it?" "Yes. I cannot tell you where or when you must arrive. You need to follow me." With that, he picked his pace up ever so slightly.

Ah, this is boring~

I wish I had some game with me. Or a weapon. Or anything at all, honestly. I can't even talk to the people around me, as they're all too focused on following the examiner.

"Aren't you a bit young to absolve the Hunter Exam?" someone questioned, gaining my attention. I turned my head to look at a tall man. He had a small smile on his pale face. But what threw me off the most was the look in his eyes.

A chill ran down my spine as I instinctively jumped further away from him. He chuckled at my reaction, saying: "You're a smart girl. Skilled, too. I look forward to see you in the next rounds."

This man is trouble. He might look like a literal clown, with pink hair and all, but the feeling I get from him is dangerous. It's not every day that you come across someone like that. And meeting someone like him is not a good thing.

I immediately ran forward, blending into the crowd while trying to shake his eyes off of me. I kept on passing people, who looked like they were about to fall over any second now.

"Why are you using a skateboard? That's cheating!" someone asked, gaining my attention. A skateboard? I looked ahead of me, noticing a man carrying a suitcase, running next to a boy around my age, who was standing on a skateboard.

My eyes lit up as I began to approach them, listening to their conversation. "Why?" asked the boy. "Why... This is an endurance test!" "No, it's not." I noted, having finally caught up with them, simply butting into their conversation.

They both turned to look at me, with the man asking: "What are you saying?" I pointed to the front, where the examiner was leading us, noting: "He only said we had to follow him. Nothing else."

He was about to reply, as the boy on the skateboard slowed down a little, now besides me. "Hey, how old are you?" he asked me, his blue eyes meeting my (e/c) ones. I thought for a moment, saying: "How old... I'm... I'm 12. I think."

"You think? Don't you know your age?" asked a boy with spiky, raven hair, joining our conversation. I shook my head, answering: "It's either 11 or 12. But I think I turned 12 like four months ago. I don't keep track of it. And you?"

The boy with black hair smiled, answering: "I'm 12 years old, too!" We both turned to look at the other boy, who was still on his skateboard. "Me, too." he simply answered, then did a cool trick with his skateboard, catching it and continuing to run with us.

"Guess I'll run, too." he said, as if what he just did was nothing. The other boy and I were amazed by him. "That was cool!" he said, to which I nodded, adding: "You did it so easily!" The white haired boy looked at both of us, saying: "I'm Killua." "I'm Gon." said the other. I smiled a little, saying: "I'm (Y/N)."
