Five and a half years later...

Everyone felt a new sense of calmness after the war ended... it was an odd feeling. But they started to get used to it over the years.

A proper funeral was held for Leia and Ben a week or so after the climactic end. It was one of celebration, looking back at the years Leia was active in the rebellion days.

But this was years ago, and now under the control of the new generals, the Resistance was only thriving.

Rey, Finn, Poe and Y/n went down in history as legends. True, they were helped by the rest of the Resistance, but the four of them were the faces of the ending of the war. The story of Kylo Ren, now known as Ben Solo, and his sacrifice didn't go unnoticed by people.

All the right things seemed to happen over the course of the years, no evil, no dark side... just stillness.

But the job of the Resistance was never complete. There was bound to be something for them to do... and today was no different.

But not in the way you would think. There was quite the opposite of fighting and fear.

It was the day of a wedding... a wedding that people had seen coming for a while now.

************
"Is it normal to feel like this?" Y/n paced up and down in her white dress "I thought getting married was a good thing! I don't feel good! I'm terrified!"

"Calm down!" Rey chuckled "It's just nerves, they'll pass soon."

"I hope so! If Poe sees me walking down the isle like this he's going to be second thoughts!"

"He's seen you look worse." Y/n glared at her "What? I'm not wrong..."

"Oh force, I think I'm gonna throw up." Y/n kept on pacing, but then a knock at the door interrupted them,

"Kyla? Is that you?"

The door opened...

"Mama!"

"Hi baby!'

Y/n reached down and picked up her daughter. She was two years old with Poe's dark hair and Y/n's gorgeous eyes... to them she was perfect.

True, she was unexpected to say the least. One morning Y/n felt... well, to this day she doesn't know show to describe how she felt... but it was enough to make her go down to the medical centre... and bam, she was pronounced pregnant.

At first the first emotion was shock and panic... but then the reality set in that they were going to have a child together... and eight and a half months later, Kyla Dameron was born.

If you asked Y/n how the labor was, she would just tell you to stop talking. It was that bad.

She didn't understand why people had more than one child...

"Mama okay?" The girl asked her Mother.

"Mama is okay... mama is just nervous. How's Daddy?"

************
"I think I'm gonna pass out."

Finn laughed at his best friend, seeing his practically shake with the nerves. Poe was standing at the alter, waiting for his girl to walk down the isle. He was scared, but he didn't know why, because he knew that the both wanted this... but so many bad things were swirling around this head.

"Everything is going to be fine. She's going to walk down that Isle, and you're going to forget about all of the fear... because everything that matters, is her."

"...Thanks, buddy." He smiled at Finn.

Poe took a deep breath... and watched the doors open. Everyone in the room rise to their feet from where they were sitting, and looked behind them...
