Side Story 8 - Hancuffs prove nothing!

 The cuffs unlocked with a click and fell from my wrists mere seconds after.

 His are indeed more secure than the usual ones.

 I had long learned how to pick locks when the girls were receiving their training prior to joining the Phantom.

 I used to sit down with them as they practiced. It is only natural that I picked up a thing or two.

 It still took me a few seconds to unlock these so that's something.

 Perhaps I should ask him for the blueprints so I can get some made for the Phantom.

 Hmm...

 Surely he didn't think I would be thwarted by something like this.

 Is there some mystery behind it I'm not getting once again?

 Did I really just leave Neuvillette in my handcuffs?!

 Ah!

 I must be going insane!

 He is far too innocent.

 Neuvillette has no ability to read between the lines.

 "Your Grace?" Someone suddenly called out.

 "Yes?"

 I turned around to face Amalie's teasing smile.

 "Are you thinking about the Iudex again?"

 Am I really that easy to see through?

 "If you weren't, you sure will be when I tell you the reason these idiots were fighting." She grinned.

 "Why?"

 What were they fighting about?

 "So... Hahaha... This... This might be partly my fault as our discussion got cut off halfway yesterday..." She suddenly turned a bit awkward.

 Discussion?

 "What discussion?"

 "You know how Monsieur Neuvillette has a fan club down here, right?"

 "Yes. On that note, why does such a club even exist?"

 "He is a gentleman and nice to look at. Not the point."

 That is exactly the point!

 He is my husband!

 "You do realize you are talking about fangirling over my husband, correct?"

 "Rest assured, Your Grace. We would never do something like that."

 Then what exactly are you and this little club up to?!

 Should I be worried?!

 The little club I knew of in the Court is pretty restrained so I don't care all too much, but I somehow can't see a club you are part of being restrained.

 "We mostly make merchandise. Again, not the point right now."

 Again, I think that is a very good point for discussion!
