 Wriothesley's POV

"Or should I call you the hydro dragon?" Gerald smirked at Neuvillette.

 Oh, damn!

I forgot to tell Neuvillette that they might know something!

 God damn it!

I wasn't expecting him to just say it like that!

Naturally, the whole room fell silent.

For a few seconds that is.

Voices exploded all around the next instant.

 "What?!"

 "What did he say?"

 "The hydro dragon?"

 "Wasn't that just a story?"

 "Monsieur Neuvillette?"

 "Could he really be-"

 "Pfft! Hahahahaha!"

The voices all stopped as soon as Lady Furina burst out laughing.

"Neuvillette? The hydro dragon? That is the most amusing guess I've heard since that matter with otters a few years back." She wiped away a single tear.

This caused another round of murmurs to start.

 "Right!"

 "Hilarious!"

"The rumors about the Iudex are getting wilder each time!"

"At least it gives Lady Furina something to laugh about."

"Yeah. When was the last time she laughed so heartily?"

 Phew!

 Hooray for Lady Furina!

Our bratty archon saves the day!

I looked over to Neuvillette a bit worried that he would seem a bit too shocked for the occasion, but he too looked amused instead.

"Lady Furina." He called out as he stood up.

"What is it, my dear Iudex? Offended perhaps?"

"On the contrary. I am quite amused. I wanted to ask if you'd allow me to entertain his nonsense for a bit."

"Why bother asking? Just go for it."

"It might turn a bit insulting for you Lady Furina."

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Just go ahead already!"

 Neuvillette...

 Just what is he planning?

"Well then, since Lady Furina allowed it, please, Mr. Traver, tell me what miraculous potion you drank to make you think I'm such a being?"

Translation: You probably had one too many drinks.

 Damn.

He really is going for it from the start.

I guess this is one way to vent your anger.

Surprisingly, that bastard didn't falter. Probably the effects of working under Neuvileltte for a long time.

"There are quite a few points that led me to this conclusion, Monsieur.

First of all, while I was working under you, I noticed that every time your mood was foul, the weather would be as well, as stated in the stories of old.
