 Wriothesley's POV

 Hmph!

 Tsk!

 Stupid dragon!

"Are you going to continue sulking or will you at least have some breakfast?" Neuvillette asked.

As if I wasn't sulking because of you!

Do you even know how many times you usually wake me up in the middle of the night because you wrap your whole body around me and cling to me like a giant octopus?!

 A lot!

 And last night?

 Not even once!

 It's not fair!

 I deserve my cuddles!

I have done nothing that would warrant being deprived of them!

Sure I touched the Primordial Sea, but I'm completely fine!

 Not fair!

 But fine. I'll eat.

I'm not stupid enough to miss out on Neuvillette's cooking as well.

 Though...

"Is there something interesting in there?"

Neuvillette had been staring at the front page of the Steambird for the past half an hour. I honestly don't even know where he got it from.

"Interesting isn't the word I would use... Here, take a look."

He handed me the newspaper and the headline instantly caught my eye.

Attack directed at the entirety of Fontaine's melusine population!

"Charlotte sure has her way of wording things."

"As far as most Fontainians are concerned, she's not exactly wrong."

I nodded, continuing to read the article.

In short, the article was about an announcement made by Lady Furina yesterday.

She put off all requiring Neuvillette's presence for the next two days on grounds that he as the melusines's lawful guardian should be with them after such a traumatic event.

The article stated that while Lady Furina didn't specify exactly how the melusines were attacked, after someone stuck into the now closed-up part of the Opera Epiclese, they found remains of Primordial Seawater.

The article also reassured the people of Fontaine that while they may not see the girls for a while, they are all safe and sound, completely unharmed, and are currently under Neuvillette's care.

"I will have to thank Furina for this later. Charlotte too. She could have made a much bigger deal out of this than what it currently is."

 Right.

This article was surprisingly mundane for its contents.

She probably realized that Neuvillette had enough on his plate without extra spiced-up rumors and speculation.

 As for Lady Furina...

"I think you might just get scolded half to death this time, Neuv."

Leaving her with a mess like this.

As far as I know, he didn't even tell her what had transpired, and what she told the public was merely a result of her own deduction.

"I probably will be, but that will have to wait. We should go see the girls first."
