OMG!

The livestream was just... WOW!

I can't wait!

However, I will have to tell you that I will not be including any new lore from the next version in this story as, as far as I know, I'm gonna end this story before the next version's incident canonically starts.

This may change in the future depending on my mood and how both this story and Genshin's official story progresses.

Neuvillette's POV

I nearly died from fright when Wriothesley suddenly just flipped out of my arms.

 "Wriothesley!"

"I'm fine, Neuvillette. Look, I'm not even going to go close to it."

True to his words, he stepped away from the pond, but it still wasn't enough to calm my heart.

I waved my hand and a barrier appeared around the waters.

 I still don't like it.

Thinking about it, I don't like the fact that the main access point to this useless thing is under his office either.

I kept a close watch on his every move, making sure that he had absolutely no chance of coming in contact with the water as wandered around looking for clues.

That's why I instantly noticed when his whole face filled with tens of question marks followed by an amused smirk.

 "Wrio?"

 "Hey, Neuv, look at this."

He took out a paper from one of the crates, waving it around with a grin.

"I don't know if these guys are idiots or someone made a mistake, but... If this thing is real..."

I stepped closer, taking the paper from his hands.

 List of sellers, it read.

It was a list of names. Names of-

"These are mostly prisoners serving a life sentence."

 "Hmm?"

"Here, look. Pierres Granger was charged and sentenced for two counts of murder. Didier Grey, domestic abuse. If you want to know how this one managed to land himself a life sentence, you'll have to look it up yourself. As for the rest... There is-"

"Let's stop right there. How about we go down that list when we aren't standing in enemy territory? Let's talk about the ones that aren't supposed to be in prison serving a life sentence."

I pointed out four names to him and-

 Oh?

"The chances of this list being real just went up significantly."

 "It did?"

"Hmm. This one right here." I pointed toward the last name on the list.

 This one...

"This is the one that sold Furina the Primordial Seawater."

 Bingo.

"Whoever is running this operation is quite clever." Wrio connected.

 "Hmm?"

"There hasn't been a single mysterious disappearance or anything that I could relate to Primordial Seawater within Meropide itself. It seems that they have only been selling it outside."
