The sound of footsteps and wheels screeching against the cement echoed in the ground as cadets made their way towards the commanders that were waiting for everyone to arrive.

Jennie, Juda and Somi also walked towards the group that was supervised by Commander Kim Taehyung as they stood in line, watching all the cadets slowly occupy the remaining spaces before a few other commanders also arrived, now standing in front of each line of cadets that they were assigned to train.

Taehyung also stood at the very front, his eyes fixed on a specific figure that stood at the very front of his queue while she pretended to be unaware of his burning gaze. A small smile pulling at the corner of her lips when Somi whispered something from behind.

“God, the sexual tension between you and him is driving me insane.” - Jennie rolled her eyes at the unsurprising remark of her friend as she stood silent.

The flashbacks of their very first training day made her wonder how she ended up from being insulted by him to being someone he can't spend a day without. Fate was indeed a very strange thing.

“Looks like everyone is here, so we'll start off by taking an attendance to keep track of every group. Starting off with Group A.” - The head commander  spoke as Taehyung took out his notepad.

“LC Jeon Somi, Kim Jennie and Choi Juda..”

“Present sir!” - All three of them exclaimed together as the rest of the names were also called out, once it was clear that everyone had arrived they were guided towards the Military buses as they boarded it with their travel bags.

“By the way, does anyone know where we're going?” - Juda whispered among the female cadets as they shook their heads but Jennie spoke up.

“Namsan mountain region-” - She stopped, realizing she wasn't supposed to say it.

“How do you know?” - One of the girls asked while Juda and Somi mentally face palmed themselves on their friend's stupidity.

“T-they take the training camps there every year.. yeah. My dad told me.” - She quickly covered her mistake as the LCs nodded but once again everything took a turn.

“Was your father a soldier too? I heard there is a LC here who was the daughter of a Commander.” - Suddenly there was sweat forming on her head as she tried to think of an excuse or a way to get herself out of this situation but clearly her identity was already revealed.

“Uh.. yeah. He passed away during a mission, Commander Kim Daehyun.” - Everyone excluding Juda and Somi gasped.

“Oh my god- I really thought I was overthinking but you really look like your father! He was such a great man, he trained my brother when he was in training.” - Jennie softly smiled, a sadness hidden behind it but she was proud to be the daughter of a noble man. Someone everyone knew and praised about.

“I'm really sorry for your loss, and also if this topic makes you upset in any way. We didn't mean it.” - She shook her head and chuckled.

“It's fine, really.” - Juda side hugged her, being able to see through her smile as they had developed a strong bond over a short period of time.

“Wait! I remembered something. Commander Kim was still under training when my brother joined and he was under the supervision of Commander Kim Daehyun. I heard.. he really wanted his daughter to marry a man like him. Or maybe him-” - Jennie's eyes slightly widened as she squeezed Juda's hand, not knowing what to say anymore.
