"If your sister is anything like you...she's brave...she has a strong mind," Shaun says.

"And just remember even if someone isn't with us physically they live with us in spirit in our hearts and memories."
Shaun pauses and softly adds.

"just like my step dad...he's always with me,"

You couldn't help the small smile appearing along your plump lips.

"Thank you for your kind words. It's actually helped me change my perspective on things." You smile.

"Care to join me for a drink?" you suggest.

"You're welcome...and yes I would love to join you for a drink," he smiles.

"I hope you don't mind beer. I don't really like vodka," he scrunches his face.

You turned to him shocked.

"You don't like vodka?" you fake gasp.

"It's alright, I'm not a fan of it either," you add, laughing playfully.

You look over at the blonde girl, Liz and look back at Shaun.

"Take it shes your girlfriend?" You ask, pointing your head over to her, seeing her conversate with the others.

"Was my girlfriend. Broke up with me yesterday, but I still care for her deeply," he frowns, looking at her.

"How about you? You single?" he asks changing the subject.

"Had a boyfriend. He works away from home so its not often i see him..." you smile, looking off frowning, remembering something. You don't think he's alive anymore.

"I am so so sorry," Shaun frowns.

"What did you love about each other?" he adds, in an attempt to help you reminise on the good times.

"I thought we were going to get married one day and start a family. I did love him, but sometimes it was like he didn't love me. Like he wasn't quite there. It was weird." You replied.

"He was funny, smart, charming. But we grew distant at times...understandably," you add.

"That's so sad. I hope you two would've gotten married and had many wonderful children together," he smiles.

"Do you have any other siblings that you care about?" he adds, seeming genuinely curious about your life.

"If I told you all about my siblings, we would be here for days," you laugh, pouring yourself another drink.

Shaun gently laughs with you.

"I'm guessing your family is pretty interesting" he smiles.

"Can I ask for your name again, sorry I'm terrible at remembering names," he says, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

"It's (Y/n)." You remind him.

"And to answer your question, yes. My family is very interesting." You laugh.

"I like that name, suits you. I can guarantee you every family is a handful," he adds.
