Part 20

A couple of hours later

Selena POV

I sat next to Dom while his arm was wrapped protectively around my waist. I felt every so often he tightens his grip on me for a few seconds and then lets go again. I know he doesn't like that Alice, Edward and Isabella are close to me. 

What I know from my grandmother and grandfather is that the male mates are very protective and caring towards their mates. From what I told him about Isabella he knows that she will try to use me. I knew he wouldn't let them get close to me when I agreed to give him a chance.

Flashback

Dominic let me into his office first closed the door behind him. I sat on the couch next to the fireplace while he sat in a chair close to me but so that he would give me space to breathe and not feel cornered by him 

'' We don't have to beat around the bush '' I said, seeing his difficulty in starting a sentence 

'' I don't want you to feel that you are being forced to love me because I am your mate '' replied Dominic 

'' Dominic or can I call you Dom or Nic? '' I asked 

''  You can call me whatever you want '' he replied 

''  Feel to do the same Nic '' I replied with a smile which he returnet

'' I know you are fighting your instincts at the moment but I understand that you don't want to force me to do anything. I want to let you know that I want to be with you romantically and nothing will change that '' I said

'' I feel that there is a but '' he interrupted me 

'' I want to get to know you better before our relationship becomes deeper and we complete mate bond '' I said with a smile. 

'' What would you like to know about me? '' he asked sitting down next to me 

''  Your hobbies, what you like and don't like to do, your talents and I don't mean your powers, your favorite color, where you come from '' I replied 

'' You can ask me anything you want '' I added 

We talked like this for a while before Jane knocked on the door and said we were heading to the airport in half an hour. Dominic showed me his room and I could tell that it suited him. I told him that he and Elite could stay with me in Seattle. 

He was concerned that I was living where the disappearances were occurring but I was able to quickly reassure him thankfully and said that my house and the area around my house were very well secured. 

I heard him growl a warning and when I looked in the direction he was looking I saw that Isabella was looking at me. 

I knew she wanted me to go to her but I snuggled into Dom and sighed, knowing that she would not give me a break after she found out what I was.

I rubbed my forehead feeling the headache gather. I could feel the eggs eyes poking into the back of my head. I could feel my patience running out. I'm tired of starving and missing Orion 

'' WHAT! Isabella '' I said losing the last of my patience

 '' You didn't tell me anything '' she whined 

'' Because you don't have magic, you are a normal person. Our species has rules like the rest and the most important of them is NOT to SHOW OUR EXISTENCE to NORMAL PEOPLE! '' I said shouting at the end 

'' But we are a family! '' she said angrily 

'' We may have the same DNA but we are not family. You are only interested in our family if you want what you want. You and Charlie shouldn't be Swans after Grandpa wanted to disown the two of you. However, Grandma talked him out of it. This is the main reason why you didn't get anything in their inheritance '' I replied 

'' You are nothing to me Isabella '' I added and Alex handed me the drink

'' Leave her alone '' Aspen said and Max waved his hand at them 

'' This will prevent you from saying, showing and thinking what we are. Every time you try to tell someone what we are you will get serious consequences '' he said when Isabella opened her mouth. 

I felt Dominic bury his face in my hair and sigh deeply. I know he would like to end Isabella now and forever but he must follow what the Kings have decided. I looked at the rest of the Elite and saw them looking at Isabelle with disgust and resentment.

'' We will be landing shortly. Please return to your seats and fasten your seat belts '' we heard the pilot say 

'' Finally '' I said and righted myself in the seat. I knew the next few days would be exhausting 

However, I know that I will not let Isabella drag me into her mess. I know she will try to do it because she knows I have magic. However, I have a feeling they will have to get through Dominic first to ask me for anything.

I looked up when my phone started vibrating and saw that it was my agent. I had decided to buy a house at the site of La Push and Forks. 

Alex and Leah said they would live there with me plus the Elite so everyone would have a room to themselves. 

All that was left for me to do was to put up barriers on the house. I still have a feeling that Rose, Em and Jasper will want to stay with me. 

Maybe I will also make bracelets for Dominic, Jane, Alec, Dmemtri and Felix. It will help them monitor the situation and I know it will annoy Isabella that I am doing this for them and not for her precious Cullens.
