The Calm

[camp]

[ava, murphy and some others are near the cookhouse cooking the meat]

Del: Let's get this party smoking.

ava: You don't want the fire too big. So maybe just try to knock it down with some wet leaves.

Del: You get that from your ex...boyfriend here, the murder?

Murphy: She's right. A hot fire is not gonna preserve the meat as well.

Del: You can't take the heat, get out of the smokehouse. Should be kissing our asses for being allowed back in this camp.

Murphy: Just keep working. bellamy couldn't get you a better job? Would think anything would be better than working in the meat furnace.

ava: Oh, probably. That just means someone else would have to do it.

[later]

[a fire erupted burning all the food and murphy pulls ava to saftey and the two share a look as he holds her in his arms]

Male delinquent: Whoa! Guys! fire!

Other male delinquent: Go, go, go! All right.

Raven: Come on.

Bellamy: Are you okay?

[he then comes over to ava and sends daggers towards murphy who still has his arms around ava]

ava: ( Coughs and nods in reply )

Murphy: This is all your fault! We told you it was too much wood....and you could have killed ava...

[murphy then attacks del]

Del: Get the hell away from me.

Bellamy: [breaking up the fight] Hey! Hey! Hey, stop! Save it for the Grounders.

ava: Well, now what the hell are we gonna do? That was all the food.

[ava then shakes her in fustration and walks away to her tent]

[ava's tent]

[ava is removing her shoes and looks up when murphy comes in]

ava: hey

murphy: you ok

ava: will be..just..fustrated..i spent hours..out there getting all this food...and now its all gone...

[murphy then comes and sits down next to ava]

murphy: if it makes you feel any better i'm probably going to get thrown out by bellamy...for fighting del

ava: that doesn't make me feel better...and you shouldn't....it was del's fault anyway...and if bellmay and clarke have an issue i'll vouch for you

murphy : thanks...i'm sure he will listen to you...he cares about you...

[ava then sighs as murphy stands up]

ava: are we going to talk about this...

murphy: talk about what

ava: that you're still upset...over what happened with bellamy

murphy: i want to talk about it..but everytime...i try...it just makes me mad...and..i mean...i guess...i just don't understand how you could move on...and with him...of all people..he tried to kill me ava...

ava: i know...

murphy: do you even care about me....i mean to sleep with the guy that hanged me....says alot of how you feel about me...i know we had a bad breakup...but...it hurt...when i found out about bellamy..and for you to not to think of how i would feel
