"I know, it's just..."

"Dick, you're being a dick. Get over yourself and remeber that it's only you and me who can get under Bruce's skin with and not die!"

Dick chuckled at that, then the door to the gym opened.

"Master Bruce wishes to see you," Alfred announced and Percy smiled at him.

"Hey, Alfie. How are ya?"

"Good, thank you, Miss Percy," he replied.

She and Dick stood then followed Alfred to the basketball court. Alfred opened the door and Dick caught a basketball that was bounced at him.

"What's this?" He asked.

"Training. Hand–eye coordination," Bruce answered with a smirk.

"Two–on–one?" Dick questioned as percy came to stand beside him with a grin.

"If you think you can handle it," Bruce replied.

Dick and Percy set off immediately, laughing and passing the ball while playing against Bruce.

Unseen to the trio, Alfred smiled in the doorway.

Several hours later, Percy shot up with a scream stuck in her throat. She was connected to the ocean and in her father's domain was Poseidonis (her father lived in Atlantis, the new one), Aquaman and Kaldur's home beneath the surface.

She had seen explosions and collapsed buildings and screams from Atlantean children.

Shaking her head, she saw that it was four in the morning.

She quietly stepped out her room and made her way downstairs with a sigh. A steaming hot cup of tea sat on the counter and a small note.

'I hope this tea helps calm you, Miss Percy,' the note said and Percy smiled to herself.

"Thanks Alfred," she whispered and sat at the kitchen table.

Mount Justice

September 6th 2010, 12:00

"Recognized: Fury, B02."

Fury entered in all her blue and black glory.

"I heard you guys got amnesia, in a desert? Man, that sucks," she stated as soon as she entered. They all turned to her and smiled.

"Where were you for that mission?" Artemis asked.

"My cousins daughter needed help, so I was off with her. The daughter's around my age as my cousin is years older than me. The cousin had two other sons who were bullying her and I wanted to help her, so I did. It was really fun," Fury answered.

She was talking about when Phobos and Deimos went against Clarisse, who needed to return her dad's chariot. It was chaotic and at the same time.

AN: I was rereading the Demigod files for this specific short story about Percy and Clarisse fighting Phobos and Deimos. Did you know that Percy made Phobos (god of fear) feel fear. Age 14 and this badass is already scaring gods. I love Percy.

"Alright, so you had a crazy time in the desert. Does anybody want to spar?" She asked and Artemis stpped forward.

"We haven't sparred before. No weapons, just hand–to–hand?" Artemis asked with a smirk.

The fourteen year old demigod smirked back. "Wouldn't have it any other way."

------

Artemis groaned as her back slammed against the ground of the training floor. A circle surrounded her body and it showed a boz, which said 'Artemis Status: Fail'

"That's the third time in a row!" Artemis groaned as she stood, Fury stretched behind her with a small sheen of sweat. She smirked at the tired blonde, then turned to Robin.

"What do you say birdy? Want to try?"

"You're on," he replied and stepped forward.

Artemis stepped off and stood to the side with Miss M, KF, Aqualad and SB.

The two settled into stances, Robin's looked like his usual stance, but Fury's was different. Her body was positioned differently and her stance was more defensive than offensive now.

"Not going to atta-"

Robin was cut off by an unexpected lunge from Fury. The five spectators' eyes widened, the visible tensing of muscles people usually would have when making to strike had barely been there when Fury attacked.

Robin managed to flip away, but not after suffering four hard hits.

"Ow! Where'd you learn that?" he asked as he stood straight.

Fury shrugged casually, as if she hadn't just punched Robin hard. "My cousin's daughter is big on fighting. We spar together all the time."

Three minutes later, Robin was on the ground with Fury helping him up.

"Welp, I'm going to shower and change. I'll be in the kitchen when you need me." Fury walked away with a wave.

"So, Robin, you were trained by Batman longer. How is she better?" KF asked with raised eyes, and Robin gave him an annoyed look.

"She trains more than me," he defended and stalked off towards the showers.

The team looked at his retreating back and then to Aqualad, who looked deep in thought.

"Did any of you sense that aura around her? The power emanating from her?" Aqualad asked, which resulted in Artemis and KF shaking their head.

Superboy and M'gann didn't though.

"She feels different from before her trip to help her cousin's daughter. Stronger," M'gann answered.

Superboy nodded in agreement. "I don't know what it was, but she doesn't feel fully human."

Artemis watched the three and narrowed her eyes. Everybody had secrets, and talking about them like this wouldn't help.

"Look, we all have secrets. If this secret is important to her, why should we care. Fury is a great teammate and helps us, does she not? If she wants to tell us, she will. But let it be on her terms," Artemis defended.

AN: I feel like Artemis would do this because of her family secret. When she's angry she acts differently to when she has a straight head, and that's why I like her charcter. It's complex and intriguing to see her lose control but learn and adapt.

I sound like some English teacher but I swear I'm not. I just have an interest in character development because I've read so many books and watched so many series where a charcter who has so much potential doesn't get the time and effort to grow.
