Arthur Shelby - Adoptive parents

Abi's POV

When I was 4, I was adopted by Arthur Shelby and Linda Shelby. My biological parents died when I was 2 well that's what I was told, I don't remember my biological parents at all but I've been told that they were quite young when they had me but I'm happy with my new family.

At first, I was very nervous to meet my new family members since I was four but every child under 6 would be nervous meeting their adoptive family. I'm 16 now and I'm just about to tell my parents that 1. I've found a boyfriend and 2. I'm pregnant. I don't know how my family will react since I'm dating Isaiah Jesus, my uncle's best mate, and there's a 10-year age gap between myself and Isaiah.

'Abi, your dad will not react the greatest' Isaiah says nervously

'Is, don't worry. It'll be fine' I say

'Your family is shit scary' Isaiah says

'Is, stop worrying please we'll be fine' I say

'If you say so' Isaiah says shrugging his shoulders

'Right, we need to go now' I say

'All I can say is prepare for a lot of shouting' I say

I walk into my Uncle Tommy's dining room where all my family are sitting waiting for me and Is.

'Right, sweetheart what do you want to tell us?' My dad says

'Dad, please don't freak out ok' I say

'What has happened' My mum says scared

'Nothing has happened don't worry' I say

'I'm 8 weeks pregnant' I say and my dad places his head in his hands

'I'm going to kill you!' My uncle John says lunging for Isaiah but before he can I go in between them so Isaiah doesn't get hurt. My Uncle John stops himself before he does any damage

'Abi, get out of the way' My Uncle John says

'No' I say folding my arms

'Abi now' My Uncle John says I just roll my eyes and I stand my ground

'Do you really think I'll move out the way just for you to batter the father of my child' I say with an attitude

'Enough with the attitude young lady!' Arthur says

'No dad! Do you really think this is the best way to react? I'm dating Isaiah and I am pregnant and if you can't get over it then I don't want anything to do with you' I say

'Come on Abi, that's a bit far don't you think?' My mum says for the first time since I confessed everything

'No I don't' I say

'Sweetie, you're 16 don't you think that's a bit young?' My Aunt Ada says

'Weren't you like 17 when you had Karl?' I say

'Touche' Ada says

'I want you to get rid of that baby' My dad says

'Isaiah let's go' I say turning around to leave but my Aunt Polly stops me before I can

'Let's go talk on our own darling' Polly says

I follow Aunt Poll into Uncle Tom's office

'Look, I'm not going to sugar coat around this because there is no point doing so. Abs, I am disappointed I can't deny it but you need to look at the situation from your dad's point of view. His only daughter is 8 weeks pregnant at 16 and she's dating someone 10 years older than her' Aunt Poll says

'Yes, I get that but Aunt Poll I just want support through all of this. I knew that dad was going to react exactly like that but all I'm asking for is support' I say

'I get that I really do but please look at this from your dad's point of view' Aunt Poll says

'Fine, but until Dad, Uncle Tom and everyone else calms down I don't want anything to do with them' I say and I walk out

'Is, let's go' I say to Isaiah who was waiting outside of Uncle Tom's office

'We're going back to yours' I say and we head back to Isaiah's
