Chapter 17.

We hopped in the car and headed to Dunkin I ordered a signature coca mocha iced and got Colby a hot chocolate and got a couple other drinks for my mom, grandma, grandpa, and sister "here's your hot chocolate you big baby" I said laughing at him "hey it's a classic especially during this time silly" he said laughing with a whip cream mustache we left the drive through and headed to my moms to help set up it was about a 30 min drive and we rode the whole way in silence but comfortable silence I love this man and I'm so very thankful for him we arrived at my moms "you ready?" I said "always" he said kissing my hand we walked inside "honey I'm home" I yelled through the house "oo sweetie" my mom said coming to grab the coffees "mom this is Colby" I said "omg I'm so happy to finally meet you I have heard so many things about you and I'm so excited to get to know you" she did smiling hugging him "I've heard a lot about you too and I can't wait to meet everyone and get to know everything about you all and kam" he said smiling hugging her back then my grandma and grandpa come out "oh my goodness kam who is this handsome man" they said "this is Colby he's my boy.. I mean he's a really good friend" I said she blushed "it's nice to meet you we will definitely talk later" she said walking back to the kitchen laughing my grandpa shook his hand and walked back with my grandma "sorry about that" I said "about what i love them already" he said smiling "yeah that's what I was talking about" I said laughing nervously I guess he didn't hear me "hey what's up dorks" Sophie walks into the living room "dorks huh" Colby said "well if we are dorks you are a dork" he said "your not wrong" she said " I'm gonna go see if they need any help" I said getting up leaving the two to talk "need any help mom" I asked "if you would like to make the pies" she said "of course give me a second " I said "hey Colby would you like to help" I asked "yes coming" he said I started prepping everything "okay do you know how to make this" my mom asked us "yes mom I've helped you make it every thanksgiving" I said laughing we started making the pies flour everywhere and we are just laughing away I'm so happy my mom came over and kissed my cheek "thank you guys" she said after we finished the pies "okay I'm going to the restroom to clean up" I said walking off

Colby's pov:
"I'm going to the bathroom to clean up" kam said walking off "hey how are you sweetie" Kam's mom asked "I'm doing so good very thankful this year" I said smiling "yes I see and I see how happy you have made kam in the last month she adores you" she said smiling "treat her well please she deserves the world and has been through so much over the years especially after her dad passed" her mom said "i would never do anything to hurt her i promise she is my world in just this short month i love her you know when you get that gut feeling they are the right person I feel like she's my person" i said "you are truly the sweetest and I can't wait to see how far you all go in this life together" she said as a tear rolled down her cheek "can I give you a hug" I asked "of course you don't have to ask sweetie" she said as I hugged her "I do have a question" I said "yes?" She asked "how would you feel if I asked kam to move in with me I know I live kinda far but I promise we will visit all the time and you all could come visit" I said nervous for her answer "I think that's an amazing idea" she said "really?" I asked excited "yes" she said "well I'm gonna see what she's doing so we can talk" I said as I walked off wait first I need to ask her to be my girlfriend omg she probably thinks I didn't hear her almost calling me her boyfriend I'm stupid I texted her "meet me outside" it said I waited a few minutes until I saw kam walking out the door "yes?" She said shivering and rubbing her hands together.

Kams pov:
I got a text from Colby asking me to come outside "yes" I said walking out the door freezing cold "I have a few questions to ask you" he said looking all serious now I'm scared "did I do something?" I asked "no you did nothing at all" he said "from the moment I met you I knew you were the one kam and I honestly couldn't imagine doing life without you now I'm not sure how I lived before I met you I am so in love with you will you be my girlfriend?" He asked what my jaw dropped "of course I will omg I love you more" I said I can't believe it's actually happening "okay what's your second question?" I asked "I know this is a big question and I completely understand if you say no" he said "okay" I said "would you like to move to la with me?" He asked shock is all I felt am I ready for this am I ready to move in with him after only being together for a month but I really do think he's the one "um you know I need to think about it all of my past relationships we moved too fast and everything went wrong" I said "take all the time you need babe I love you and I will love you whatever you decide" he told me "what about my mom" I said "I talked to her and she thinks it's a great idea and said she would come visit and we would of course come back to visit as much as you want" he said "give me a few days I need to talk to my mom" I said "I 100% understand take your time" he said I gave him the biggest kiss and hug "this is the best thanksgiving definitely takes my mind off things" I said "ready to head back in it's freezing" he said "yes I am"
