If there was one thing Shin and the original owner had in common, it would be their prominent dislike for hospitals.
Drip.
Shin looked away from the IV drip and focused on the beaten up Aizawa with bandages over his face and body.
For a while, Shin did not know what to say.
"Aizawa will be alright kiddo."
Shin felt the comforting pat on his back but his heart didn't feel relieved.
Just continued to stare at his mummified Sensei on the hospital bed.
One minute.
Two minutes.
Three-
"Tch. How long are you going to stare at me like that?"
"Until you stop pretending."
Aizawa cursed the brat in his heart.
He turned his head to Shin's direction. Although his world was pitch black right now but knowing the brat, he must look very worried right?
Tsk.
Kids are annoying.
Shin saw the approaching hand and watched it get closer with wary eyes.
It wasn't until he felt the gentle sensation on his head that he blinked.
"There there."
Shin coughed awkwardly, "...Sensei what are you doing?"
"Reassuring you."
No, this only makes me worry more...
Shin turned to Recovery girl, "Brain damage?"
"Get out!"
Shin quickly avoided Aizawa's incoming attack and ran for the door, "Get well soon sensei!"
The hospital ward quickly fell silent.
A sombre air emerged, quickly replacing the previous sunny atmosphere.
"So what's the real result?"
Granny Chiyo looked at the lonely figure on the bed and the flood gates couldn't be kept shut any longer.
This was the boy she watched grow into the man he is today.
The toughest part of this job wasn't the long hours of surgery.
Rather, it was the feeling of helplessness that came with every failed procedure.
"I'm sorry."

Shin walked down the hospital corridors at a leisure pace.
"Mom I didn't cry, can I have a treat now?"
"Aww little Ara is so brave," the mom cooed.
Shin watched the touching scene with a smile.
Kids are so cute.
How can Aizawa hate them?
"Kirishima we're at the hospital, let's just stop for now!"
"How can you say that? Are you siding with this guy?"
The tranquillity was broken and Shin was left confused by the sight before him.
Kirishima was being held back by Shogi and the others. His face was as red as his hair and he looked ready to throw hands the minute someone triggered him.
