Artemis

It's completely empty around me the only things I can see, are the stars, the moon, the forest in the distance, and the road ahead. I let all of the tears I was keeping in around Dain and his Dad, At least he got his happy ever after I guess, after passing 2 towns I decide the next one is where I will stop, looking ahead I see a large lump on the road I slow down and come to a stop beside the creature, I let out a shakey breathe as I realise it is a beautiful grey wolf that's lying dead, I walk around the wolf and see a cub with her that still alive but has a broken leg,

"Oh you poor baby," I coo, its head snaps up at the sound of my voice, its face is grown but her nose is still a bit pink I think she's old enough to have left her mother but wasn't ready.

"It's ok," I say holding out my hand for her to sniff knowing it's not a good idea but also knowing I couldn't care less at this point,

"Do you want to come with me?" the wolf nudges my hand and limps over to me,

"That's a good girl," I coo, "Now what will I call you?" the wolf looks up at the sky,

"Stella, my little star, now let's fix that leg," I focus on this pool in the back of my mind that is where I think my magic comes from, after feeling a tingle in my fingertips I let them trail over Stella's broken leg, I hear a Crack!, then Stella whines,

"I'm so sorry Stella," but she stands up and runs laps around me, a laugh escapes me as she barks. I walk to my new bike and set the helmet over my head and flick up the glass shield,

"Maybe I'll see you around," I flick the glass down and flip my leg over the bike, kicking up the stand, starting the bike I move forward and go to look back at Stella but she's not there but besides the bike trying to keep up, so I slow back down, and Stella just keeps running besides the bike, sigh and stop the bike,

"You can't come with me," I state, but Stella just barks,

"Fine, I'll just make up a spell that makes you match the pace of my bike, easy," I say sarcastically, focusing on the pool of magic I pool the magic into Stella, for a second it looks like she glows so I think it worked. I start the bike again and go my normal pace which is probably higher than the speed limit, I think and somehow the spell worked and she is running beside me. Right before we reach the town I see a small crowd of people surrounding what looks like a street race, I smirk, knowing that will be my source of income, and ride towards an apartment complex and fall asleep beside the bike and Stella with her head on my lap, waiting for the doors to open.

A/N Thought we won't traumatize her more in this chapter 🥰
