Cast to the pond like the flattest stone
Found in the brink
Kept for a moment
Then thrown away
At the bottom of the water, sink
Reminiscing warm hands
Hoping to feel again
You push me to the side
When I cry, no "it's alright"
Left alone- out of sight, out of mind
Oh, the heart breaking hope
Saying "they're coming back, it's fine."
