The heat went by and so did
everything go back to normal.

At least it seemed like it to Hyunjin.

Jisung never really spoke about
what happened at  Dongwoon's
dorm but he seemed happy
so the shepherd hybrid didn't
really worry.

If something had happened that
had made the little squirrel
uncomfortable, he'd at
least show it.

Because Jisung was bad at hiding
his feelings, be it the positive or
the negative ones.

The only thing that kept Hyunjin
wondering sometimes was the
amount of junk food the younger
boy was eating lately.

He knew that some omegas got
strong cravings when their heat
was over, it was their body telling
them what they needed after
the draining days of heat.

Energy, nutrients, comfort
through their favorite foods.

And Hyunjin would be the last one
to stop his tiny squirrel roommate
from eating well.

He knew how emotionally
and physically draining the
first heat could be.

"Jisungie, aren't four packs of
instant ramen a bit too much?"

"No! I'm literally starving!"

The tiny squirrel complained as
he opened the packages of the
seasoning to pour it in the pot
of boiling water.

"Alright. But don't come
to me whining when you
get a stomach ache later."

"I won't, promise."

Jisung giggled cheekily, his tiny
furry ears twitching cutely.

And Hyunjin could only
shake his head.

"I'll go to Minnie later,
you'll have the dorm to
yourself for a bit. I'll text
you if I stay overnight, okay?"

But the small brunette didn't
even listen anymore, deep in
his thoughts as he stirred the
noodles in the pot.

Because yes, a certain panther
alpha just didn't leave the boy's
mind anymore.

He had seen Minho the day prior
in the cafeteria of the college and
although his first instinct was to
hide under the table, he still
hadn't been able to look away
from the beautiful ravenette.

It was as if he was enchanted,
Minho was just so mesmerizing.

The alpha fortunately didn't
notice the obvious stares,
too busy chatting with his
two friends Jisung had
never seen before.

A rather buff wolf hybrid with
cute dimples and a bear hybrid
with chubby cheeks similar
to Jisung's.

And alone the sight of the two
unfamiliar alphas had made it
easy for the little squirrel to
make the decision to stay
hidden because yes, Hyunjin
and Minho were carnivores
and still nice but who knew
about all the others?

Jisung hummed happily as he
poured the noodles in a bowl,
his bushy squirrel tail swinging
in excitement.

He had been craving some
Jin ramyeon since morning
and he really couldn't wait to
make himself comfortable on
the couch so he could eat and
watch some anime.

Since his first heat Jisung had
begun to feel unbelievably lazy
which wasn't exactly great for
his grades nor his relationship
with Dongwoon.

He hadn't seen the alpha since
he had returned from the US
two weeks ago and of course
the omega hadn't mentioned
anything about his heat nor Minho.

They were roommates after all.

And he could only pray that the
panther hybrid would stay silent
too because no, Jisung didn't know
how he should explain it when
he'd get questioned eventually.

In general the squirrel hybrid
still didn't know why his body had
reacted in that way to Minho, why
he hadn't spent a single thought
on Dongwoon during his heat.

He only knew that it hadn't
been supposed to be like this.

And still Jisung found himself
snuggled in Minho's hoodie,
despite his heat being already
over for weeks, and enjoying
his ramen.

'Hey pretty darling, wanna meet
up at my place later?
My roommate isn't home, we could
spend some time together? ;)'

'Hey Dongwoon, I'm still busy
with a project for typography.
Maybe we can go out next weekend?'

It was a lie, a big fat lie.

Jisung was far from busy but he
was also far from in the mood to
meet up with his boyfriend.

He'd rather cuddle some
more with his piggy plushie.

And he also wasn't sure about the
winking smiley face at the end of
the message, last time Dongwoon
had asked Jisung to come over,
he had forced himself on the tiny
squirrel omega to the point that
it had made the brunette
uncomfortable.

Dongwoon wasn't gentle and
caring like Minho.

Yeah, Dongwoon wasn't even
close to reaching that place Minho
had in Jisung's heart although the
little squirrel would never admit that.

But maybe, just maybe, it was
about time to talk to Hyunjin
about the mess in his head.

If someone could help him,
then it was the beautiful
white shepherd hybrid.
